I really would like a cheese tower as well as a traditional wedding cake but there just as much (im guessing mainly due to the word wedding put into the mix) but ive just found a place that will work with you and will do 5 teir (im talking huge rounds of cheese here not piddley) for under half the price ive been quoted. Everywhere for 5 tier is £450+ these are less than 200 and i can even have pretty much what ever cheese i like. Sorry im sure you all know by now i LOVE cheese :)

i was going to get a cheese fountain (like a chocolate one) but they wanted 1k for the hire of it. couldnt believe it. Yeah its a great deal. You can buy them normally. if you just wanted for home aswell. I most probably will. Not sure if ill serve it wth afternoon tea or with the evening buffet. (not sure weather afternoon tea is going to be the day meal or the buffet yet)

are these all local places you have approached.
i really want a second cake of cheese as H2B is a big cheese fan.
how does the cheese keep during the day, and is there anything i need to know before scouring the local delis?

unfortunately there arent a great deal of delis in norfolk besides supermarkets and its not what i would call proper cheese. Alot of cheeses besides soft can be kept out of the fridge in a cool place. even when cut. just wrap in baking paper. I'll put the link on your page. this company is from the west but they delievery anywhere and you can get a lot of different types of cheese and they deliever for only 8.99 for a whole cake. They will work with you and can even source cheese from other parts of the uk for you. Im a huge fan of french cheese so i might get my cheese from different places. If youve got local delis around you. Just go in and ask about what kind of cheeses they have and ask to taste. If your looking wanting certain types but not sure what flavour or an actual make of cheese just go in and say i would like some cheddar and a soft cheese and a cheese made from goats milk. That kind of thing and they should direct you to the cheeses with that criteria and if there a proper deli they'll let you taste. Just dont sayits for a wedding at first until you sus out there prices otherwise they could up them suddenly. Once you have you can say you want to make a tower out of it and they might beable to help you in finding all the right sizes and which order would be best. Hope that helps.

We're having a cheese tower/cake too......I am a bit fussy about cheese (though will quite happily drink the red wine/port!) but H2b loves it. We are going to dismantle it and serve it as our evening food - bit like a ploughmans, we're going to add crackers, breads, pickles, pates that sort of thing.
I've been looking around - and you are right, the prices vary so much!
We are meeting with our caterer at the weekend and going to ask them to quote for one too - the are keen on locally sourced food so hoping there will be lots of yummy British cheese to choose from!
