Oh No - try loosening your hand whislt ur turning the stems - it shoudln't matter how thin they are. I'm a qualified florist and sometimes even i have a stiff/bad day lol with bouquets. I remember being trained and it took a long time to get the knack. I think most brides want to do it themselves thinking its easy - but its not! Or what about just using brown foam and setting them in that?? If all else fails contact ur local floristry college for a student to sort it - its good for their portfolio ;) J xxxxx

have you tried the few at a time way? Get 3 stems and tape together, then grab 3 more and put them around and tape together, keep going till all in and secure with lots of tape once happy, then cover the tape with some nice ribbon.

Right got a new bouquet form the same lady, i told her i wanted "40-50 ivoiry roses andl i dont want it to look like a ball though so id like to be round and wide if that makes sense?" i got this today, and its totally not what i wanted! its too high :( im really disapointed and what do i say to the lady?

Mine is about 14 inches across and i made it myself after taking my original apart, i just took the flowers in my hand and just put them together and when i was happy with one bit i used florists tape around them to hold them then added a bit more (florist tape can be taken apart very easily

so mine went from this:

i just kept laying it on the table flowers up and kept pushing the flowers down so that the stems are in the right place to make it wide rathar than high

i would just explain to the lady you wanted it wider than higher and see what she can do, at the end of the day your paying for a service from her if your not happy then you have to tell her

Hi,Ive been thinking about your bouquet last night and i think it may be best if i refund you when i receive it back.
As personally i think it looked lovely and i cant really change the shape of it using just the roses and the amount you had in your bouquet.
Also to redo i will ruin some of the roses and its going to cost me to replace them and repost it back to you.
I hope you arent offended but i did it to the best of my standards and you want get the shape the same as in the pictures which were fresh flowers....

At least she is giving you a refund and she has been thinking of ways that she could fulfil your expectations. Hopefully you'll get what you want from the other suppliers. I was told by a florist who does real and foam flower bouquets not to expect the same from foam flowers as real flowers because they are different to work with. I don't want real flowers as the thought of them being used for just one day bothers me and the expense of it. I'm making my brooch bouquet and wanted some foam flowers for my bms and button holes but it now looks like I may have to get real flowers as the style I want won't look so good in foam.

I wanted a foam bouquet, so i could keep it. i also wanted my bms to have foam posies so they could keep them if wanted. when it actually came to putting them together it was just so difficult and they just didnt look how id imagined it, so i decided to go with real flowers. Im paying £200 for my bouquet, 7 wrist corsages and 13 button holes which is quite good so if its just expense maybe look in to a florist?
