How is there not a cake category? Or did I manage to miss it??
Anyhow, we went to see the cake people near where we're getting married in Yorkshire, and they were lovely people, and their cakes are GORGEOUS, both tasting and looking.
We've kind of left it to them to design for us, but we're having individual cakey things that serve 2 people with a top tier for cutting. We can have any flavour we want for the cakes! So we're going to have a mixture of vanilla sponge, chocolate, lemon drizzle, carrot, and coffee.
We've sort of given them ideas around our theme and they're going to figure something out - something dramatic in white/black/red with maybe some damask patterns :D
AND they're going to make us individual truffles as favours to go in my crackers :) They were saying they could do all sorts - they made some tequila slammer truffles the other day!
