sat looking out at the weather today praying to god that it brightens up before saturday. torrential rain and wind today and aparently were getting some thunder and lightening this week aswel :( so hope the sun makes an apperence or atleast it stops raining for saturday will be gutted if it rains, my venue has beautiful gardens and if its raining we will have to have the photos inside :(

well dont take my word for it, as things can change within the hour, BUT, according to my phone & also the B...B...Cwebsite, it should be clearing by the end of the week, and be dry over the weekend.so fingers crossed for you all!!

fingers crossed! we have had awful wether this year ive been telling everyone all year that its horrible wether so it will be nice on my day haha. the wedding co ordinator at my venue told me last week that all year they have only had photos in the garden once as the wether has been that bad and they have had a wedding in practically every weekend x

A friend of mine got married in February and when she first got engaged she said she wanted a winter wedding as then you are guaranteed bad weather so you won't be disappointed if it rains. Turned out to be a glorious day for them.

A good photographer will be able to work WITH the rain! Ive seen some stunning photos that have been done in the rain......get a big bold umbrella and some wellies and DANCE! You'll have a ball hunni trust me.

I had rain on my day hun and luckily I had brought 10 white umbrellas for me and the wedding party just in case. I had funky blue wellies too! It did stop raining for a bit late afternoon so we managed to get pictures outside which was a relief as I did have a little secret cry earlier on at the frustration of it raining. Overall tho it doesnt spoil your day, you will still have the best time ever :) In fact the photos with our brollies in are fab and really quirky! and I LOVE the one of me in my wellies! So defo still have pics outside with your brollies even if its raining hun. If it is raining, have a word with your bridesmaids and let them know that they need to help keep your dress up off the floor when you're outside and get a brolly handy at all times for when you need it (my bridesmaids were crap and cared more about themselves staying dry) That said, I think you will be ok for the weekend hun, it might not be sunny but this crappy heavy rain should be gone xxx

It absolutely poured the week before our wedding, (including thunder storms) but on our day the weather couldnt be better! The weather changes so much in a short space of time here, it definitely pays to be prepared :)

I wouldn't worry too much about the rain. It actually rained on our wedding day - we had a lot of indoor photos taken and tbh they look just as stunning as outdoors. Our venue was prepared for the weather (Gretna) and we did get some pics outdoors as they had a giant wooden gazebo that held all the wedding party (with views onto the gardens in the background). I'd definitely take some large umbrellas with you though (a great photo opportunity with them as well).
