So my hen do is coming up in 2 weeks and my bridesmaids have been less then useless they had 8 months to sort out my hen do and left it to the beginning of the month then wondered why on 7 people are coming. So i feel awful there is going to be 8 in total! not great when over 30 were on my list to start with. So they decided to go to Portsmouth instead of all this being a surprise i have had to have everything told to me as it is coming down to me to help organise things.

So i go out to lunch with the bridesmaids on Saturday and they hadn't even booked the club for our night out so I have had to do it as neither of them wanted to put it on their credit card. I am now looking online for other things for us all to do while on my hen do as i'm worried we will end up doing nothing. I feel so let down by these people who are meant to be my best friends. Sorry to rant ladies but had to say it somewhere x

Ah chick, dont get down about it but just organise it yourself so you know what to expect and its what you want. It is dis-heartening though when you think of them as your best friends and they dont make the effort, maybe tell them how you feel? Getting it off your chest to them may help and they may not realise they are being bad friends?! xxx

I know its not fair of them to ask you to help organise your own hen do. but look at the positive side at least they have asked and its not a total write of as you have time to rescue the situation and plan your self a great night. I would let your bridesmaids know how let down by them you feel.

Sorry it's getting you down but at least you have the control now to make it a great night. I'm organising my own just because it's easier and then I get to choose what we do!

I had 12 coming on the Thursday morning, by Thursday night there were 4..... OH and I were both quite mad at my so called friends who "had a cold" etc etc. We have a lot of mutual friends so we had a combined hen and stag.... On 1st Sept we're having a combined stag and hen too! lol

Those who gave excuses werent missed on my night and Im sure you won't miss them on yours either!xx

At least if you're organising it you know you're going to have a brilliant time! I'm organising mine, although all my friends think that's weird but I'd rather end up doing something I'm going to love than risk not enjoying my hen do x x

I know the feeling, and I agree its horrible, I had to sort out my whole hen do, as my BMs wouldn't get in touch with each other. I told them in January, I need to know early which weekend they were thinking of as I work weekends, but nothing.
I don't think bridesmaids understand that its part of their "job" to organise hen weekends etc.

Fingers crossed you have a good time, and they sort something for you. That is a surprise, and that you have a lovely time.

I would love to say that in the end after all the hassle of mine, it paid off and I had a great time. But I'd be lying, and wont go into detail.

I'll keep my fingers crossed yours is a good one, as I'd never wish the horribleness I had to endure onto anyone else xx
