today our venue had a open day and we all went along all 10 of us (both sets of parentals 2 under 5s me h2b sis and bro in law) check out the setup the rooms and any questions we had to our coordinator.
as i walked in the room it was set up exactly like our day, colours the lot. i was fine when i walked in but after talking to our coordinator i walked away and burst into tears. its now hit me that soon ill be getting married, i got overwhelmed. then mil started and my mum. afterwards i felt like a d1ck and no doubt h2b will be slagging me off during the speeches but id be ok til today lol.
was even funny that my fil2b stuck his hand in his pocket and paid for a white flashing backdrop, chair covers and sashes and alternative table decorations as he thought the ones part of the package didnt look right....what a completely strange day and to be honest ive not got it out my system i feel better as ive seen it all now.....
anyone else felt overwhelmed? i hope so cos if not i feel even more of a d1ck ha ha ha xxxx

awww it hits us all at some point, I've heard others say it hasn't hit them until they're about to walk down the aisle!!! It's wierd but I don't think it's quite hit me yet, but I'm sure it will lol x

seriously i felt really silly afterwards for getting emotional. i think if the room wasnt done in my colours then i probably would of been ok and it probably would of hit me as im walking down the aisle, something i dont want to happen!!!!!

it hit me when we went to give our notice at the registry office. up until then we had just been planning a wedding, but this brought it home to me that there was also going to be a marriage.....does that make sense?

Al be the same but probably on the day lol! I try not to think of things til nearer on on the day :/ If it was like your day id be exactly the same but my friend is in charge of setting up n decorating for my reception so i have no clue to how it will look til the 3rd of august im so excited but i know i will cry on the day cos i have faith she'l do an AMAZING job xxx

i know how you feel hun, i had a moment when i went to see the venue for the first time and i was stood in the ceremony hall, i was like OMG im getting married, then again when i found my dress - im not an emotional person, but those two occasions set me off! its normal hun, dont feel bad about it. Rather you get it out now than on the day :0/ x

It is a great feeling! Every time we go to our venue I feel so excited but nervous too! When I found my dress my MOH who isn't very girl got all teary eyed and that really set me off! lol

lol sometimes i get a pounding in my chest and picture me and h2b standing hand in hand, saying our vows. that freaks me out!!! in fact, i just got a bit sweaty writing that!! lol

Aww hun, I know that feeling... no tears on my part but we were at our venue last week and it was set up for an open day - with my colours too - I felt all excited. I did have a teary moment when I eventually got to see the dress... it was a long time coming and I didnt think I'd get to see the one I loved online. Anyhow.... WE'RE ALL GETTING MARRIED! x

ha ha ha loving all the wee posts and stories here and glad that im not alone. ill admit i can be quite emotional but after watching bridezillas and having my year old niece calling me that i wasnt gonna be one and get all emotional and stuff but as i said it was set up in my colours and i couldnt keep it in. maybe having the wee motional moment now will work lol xxx
