    Hello,

Right for starters don't panic!!! I am also loosing weight and the one thing that helped me so much is actually a book. Have you heard of Paul McKenna? His book is really good It doesn't say we have to sit there and eat celery all day to loose weight. Maybe give it a try I love it. Good for you with the exercise I go only once a week so thats good if you go 3 :)

im struggling to, i have to go careful what i eat as i suffer from irritable bowel syndrome and cant eat alot of wheat, i did the we***t wat***rs diet afew years ago befor it changed to pro plus and lost a stone (which was all i wanted to lose at the time) and was really happy, but then i put it back on and more, but ive since changed job and dont move around as much so im finding it harder this time. but with the above mentioned diet you can eat what you like and i didnt cut anything out, i still ate chocolate and light crisps and choccie biscuits. lol. xx

Im just craving crap food which isnt good, got bootcamp tonight so hopefully it will kick my butt into gear. I went to a wedding fair on Sunday and they said that i need to start dress shopping nov/dec rather than Jan so iv got even less time to loose the chub :(

Toritots...I'd ask your Boot Camp Instructor! At the gym I go to, all the Instructors are nutritionists as well. When I first started, they took all my measurements, weight etc and we discussed what I wanted to achieve and in what time frame. She wrote out a fitness plan that is specially designed for me (I want to be a size 10 before the wedding and I'm only a 14 now so its only 2 sizes) and I also went to a course put on at the gym in Weight Management. My Instructor (who also ran the course) asked me to keep a food diary for a week and then assessed it. She advised me to eat more protein and less carbs (I'm a sucker for jacket spuds!) and to keep up with using the gym 3-4 times a week. Definitely worth seeing if your gym or Instructor have any advice! I've been doing it 6 weeks and haven't lost any weight yet, but I've lost 1/2 inch round both arms, 1 inch round each thigh and 1 1/2 round my tummy. Remember that muscle weighs more than fat so if you're toning, you wont lose weight as quickly!

Jelly Bellies are the worst! I cant notice any difference in size, my jeans feel more comfy but thats about it. I dont look in the mirror 'wow this is working!'

My friend has advised Hula Hooping! She swears by it for her tummy...just 15/20 minutes every night (once you get the hang of it) whilst she's watching the soaps and she noticed the difference in a number of weeks!xxx

Toritots - "crap food" is often very high in carbs which tend to have a huge impact on insulin production, which can lead to insulin resistance. If you eat a carb heavy meal it typically makes your insulin shoot up (because that's what's needed to metabolise the carbs). The problem is that insulin's job is to convert as much of your meal as possible to fat. Once it's "cleaned up" your last meal, your blood sugar drops quite rapidly leaving you hungry again, and most likely craving more carbs.

The secret to breaking this cycle is to focus on eating foods that do not make your blood sugar bounce from one extreme to the other. You can do this by eating meals with higher protein content. Protein is metabolised differently and takes longer, so you do not get the sudden cravings for more food, which will often lead you towards the wrong choices.

Chicken, Tuna, eggs, nuts, pulses (e.g. lentils, chickpeas) and beans are all good sources of protein. If you try and find recipes that contain a lot of these things you should find you struggle less.

Everyone has days where they fall off the wagon as well, and you should learn to accept the bad days along with the good. Each day is a new chance to have another good day, so keep looking forward and don't let the past drag you down.
