Lol I love black and if I could get away with it, I'd love to wear a black wedding dress but a lot of people including my h2b doesn't want me to so I'll choose an ivory colour with either black beads or black corsage or flowers. Anybody else doing a non traditional colour or having black on their wedding dress?

My aunt had a stunning wedding dress with black detail. I personally wouldn't wear a black wedding dress as I wear black all the time so it wouldn't be special if you know what I mean?xx

Me too!! Yes I know what you mean hence I didn't really fight for it that much.. But I've seem some on bridal mags along with black veils and it looks so elegant! I'll sill have my black fix though and have something black put on my wedding dress lol xx or some black accessories!

Hi, I am having a black Lacey dress as my wedding dress :-) (there is a picture of it in my photos but it doesn't do it justice, it's gorgeous). I am having purple accessories to go with it, including a purple and black garter with a skull and crossbones on it lol ;-)

my colours are black, white and red and i did fall in love with a black n white dress on line (see pic) but im scared to get it incase i hate it when it gets here............my friend is getting married next april and i showed her and now shes getting it lol so maybe if hers is nice when it comes i'll change my mind hehehe

hails i also fell in love with that dress before i found mine its beautiful but could only find it online too. i would have had it in lilac and white. i might order it for a a evening second dress as mine was a bargain and so is that one :-) xx

I've seen some lovely black wedding dresses, the shop i got my dress from had a lovely full skirt dress, the skirt was black and the bodice was cream with black embroidery..........was lush!!

Yay I'm glad I'm not the only one!! Lol! Hails - I saw that wedding dress online too! Absolutely stunning! But because I'm small, I didn't think the skirt would suit me that way, I have to choose a fishtail type so I've chosen some designs it's on my album then I'll ask bridal shop to put a black corsage and black beads on it :)

Bee and Boo.. Similar name similar theme lol :) love the vintage effect of cream/ivory and black. Was thinking of having that as my theme too but decided on pale pink and black instead so that the contrast is really masculine and really feminine. Love it!

I colours are black white and red (well more ivory and burgandy) , two of my bm's dresses are black the other two are burgandy, my cake and stationary covers are all black, and my chair covers (sashs will be white) and runners are black on top of white table clothes. And some of my roses in the centre pieces are black too :-)

My dress is diamond white, older Bm's in Black and younger ones in black and white. Cake is white with black hearts and ribbons. Black and white table decorations. There is a splash of lime green thrown in tho. Love that classic look.

I'm going for the classic colours but at the wedding fayre I was at on sunday they had tables decorated wtih black linen and chair covers then pink and orange sashes and glasses. It looked amazing, really different and definitely had the wow factor x

I am quite tempted by black bridemaids dresses tbh as i am not keen on orange as a colour as a rule and am being very fussy about what shade of orange, so might be easier for me to get dresses on black and stick with the orange flowers etc....

My theme is black, cream and cadbury purple. Although i wont be wearing a black dress, my bridesmaids will be in black which they loved as they are more likely to wear the dresses again. Plus black is very flattering and finding the right dress in the right shade of purple to fit each bm seemed like a lot of bother.

Im having purple and cream flowers. The table decorations are fishbowls/martini glasses filled with lighted purple jelly balls and a flower decoration and draped with black beads. The table planner will be a purple patterned board with black old fashioned victorian style photo frames stuck on outlining the individual tables.

Eileen they're lovely aren't they? Can't believe I never knew them before until I started looking for flowers for my wedding. I just hope if I ended up getting married instead in March that they're still in season as they're in season in June (my original wedding date month) =)

my dress is ivory with claret (alfred angelo style 1516, found in a shop in town) but my stationery is red and black (mum making them) h2b will be wearing black with a red silk button hole :)

Jill, apparently it's in season in june so hopefully won't be too expensive but I must admit I haven't looked into how much they are yet. Will probably have a mixed bouquet if it's too expensive xx
