We went out today to book our honeymoon, we didn't really have any preference about where but knew we wanted to go Caribbean/America way and that it had to be in the 6 week holidays due to me working in a school and we wanted to go to 2 places and spend about a week in each.
Well, the company we booked through could not have been more helpful and kind. They listened to everything we wanted, made suitable suggestions (even gave us a glass of champagne when we had booked it!) and between us we have booked for this time next year our Honeymoon!!
This is what we have gone for:
7 days All Inclusive at a 4* Hotel in Barbados 7 day All Inclusive at a 5* Hotel in Saint Lucia.
We have a lot included too including the B.A lounge before we fly with Champers etc, Private Transfers, Bottles of Champagne/Wine on arrival, a sunset dinner one night, glass bottom boat ride, catamaran cruise, a spa treatment every day in Saint Lucia plus a complimentary 150 USD towards any other treatments we may want, water sports, Ocean views accommodation with an upgrade in Barbados and I am sure there are other things too we will get it all confirmed in the next 7 days when we receive our official invoice.
I am so excited and cannot believe that this was within in our budget.

Aww bet ur really excited it sounds lovely, i cant wait to book our honeymoon but think we are going to leave it till after our wedding and book it then as we havn't really bn saving so will have to budget that in for after the wedding... we are wanting twin centre and want to go to maldives so its finding something that can tie in with that. do you mind me asking who you booked with? x

I so can't wait! As I said I didn't think that we could afford this within our budget, its a lot of money don't get me wrong but I would have thought all that is included would have been more and way out of budget.
Friends of our went to the Maldives and loved it! Said it was expensive when out there but they didn't go All Inclusive so I would recommend going All Inclusive from what I have heard. I shall pop the company name on your profile.

Sounds really good! We're looking at a few nights in Hong Kong or kuala lumper followed by 7 nights in Borneo for ours...a bit of city plus a bit of beach/exploring, plus somewhere we'd probs never go again but will be a great experience x

Yes, we have gone for places that we wouldn't ever think of going before as well as the All Inclusive bits and higher ranked small hotels etc. We have gone for a more livelier Island (Barbados) and a more relaxing Island (Saint Lucia) to get a comparison and different experiences too.
This will be the first long haul flight I have done also. The furthest I have ever been is Tenerife lol!

Sounds amazing! What luxury! We couldn't afford a holiday as large as that as we're not paying on credit cards but with savings and cash as we go - don't want debt! We have £3000 for our honeymoon... It's a surprise to me but I think we'll have gotten luxury in Europe for a week!
And we lived happily ever after!

We have been very fortunate in what we have been able to save and a change in circumstances at Xmas. I am still in shock that this came in UNDER budget! We aren't paying on credit cards. Thankfully we only had to pay 10% deposit .... still a fair amount though! We just made sure that we had an overall budget and then set budgets for individual things within the main budget. We now have until 20th May to have the rest saved but on our gift list, we have included a Honeymoon donation as well as actual gifts on our list too.

i've been to both barbados and st lucia and trust me you will have an AMAZING time there, the people are so friendly and bridgetown (Barbados) is fantastic, if you can go on a submarine while ur over there, seeing the flying fish then all those tropical fish in their natural habitat is just unbelievable!
Personally, i actually found Barbados to be the quieter of the two, i suppose it depends on the areas etc. xx
Less then a year till i marry my wonderful man <3

I love hearing feedback from people that have been, they get me even more excited lol.
We booked with K.U0ni. And have to say the service (so far) we have received from them has been great! The company do so many places and I believe they specialise in Honeymoons/Anniversary Holidays etc. They have loads in their America brochure and you can order them from online.
MrsX2b, I shall post on your wall now.
