hi all were eloping oct 2013 just wondering if getting wed in vegas is actually legally binding here in uk? i mean will we have to do anything else when we return to legalise the marriage? any help would be great! also if anyone wants a really beautiful cheap dress i got my ann one now going cheap as it way to puffy and heavy to take to vegas, its on profile xx

I think you would probably have to send off the usual paperwork afterwards just like any other wedding.

Hey hun, As long as the marriage is recognised as legal and valid in Vegas then it will also be recognised as valid here in the UK too. The certificate is proof of your marriage and will be accepted here by all the Authorities just the same as a UK marriage certificate would be xxx

A wedding in las Vegas is fully recognized in the UK .... you do have to apply for a liecence to marry there but this can all be done online and picked up once you arrive
even better lala i read u may need to queue for an hour to apply for the licence but doing online sounds good :-)x the vegas thread is going to be a great help thanks alot

i did it all online hun ...... the other vegas thread has been bumped for you but if there is anything at all you want to ask about things out there give me a shout ...... we are fully fledged vegasites as we go out every year
thanks! if you have any info on hotels would be very grateful were loving new york new york but cant deside between that being a hotel with a gimick or something like the bellagio which is more about the luxury? we are looking at booking the wedding wagon sometime on halloween to get wed eithier in front of the bellagio fountain when its lit up at night or under the vegas sign! then having dinner some where posh and pricey but have no clue where yet lol x

the fountains dont go all the time cant remember if it is every hour .... but it gets really busy along there with people standing to watch them .
as for hotels it really depends what you are looking for ... if you would like to have one that doesn't have a casino in look at the Marriott Grand chateau .. it is right next to the planet hollywood hotel ( another good one ) which also had the Hilton Elra tower
htb will be very impressed with me for finding first hand knowledge lol think ill go with a chapel i didnt think of how busy places would be its a good point thanks :-)

there are other options you can get married in the grand canyon / the valley or fire and red rock canyon
