I'm having a pink themed wedding and was looking for something a little different and special for my ring holder. I have a 14 yr old daughter and 12 yr old stepdaughter and want them to be a special part of our cermeony equally. I'm getting my step daughter to walk in just before I do with a little note from me to give to her dad (H2B obviously?!) so she has spotlight on her. But I wanted my daughter to do something special too. Can she bear the rings? or is this for the best man or page boy (I havent got Page boy)

    And is this to OTT?!!!!!!

i dont see why she cant be, or why you cant use that, she wouldnt want to have her own bouquet though would she, as i dont know how carrying both would work

You say your daughter is 14? As a suggestion, rather than a posy/bouquet, you could get her a corsage for on her wrist - will make her fell a little more grown up and that way, if you want her to carry your rings in an egg or on a pillow, you will avoid the bouquet vs pillow scenario.

Have whatever you like - As long as you and your h2b are happy, who cares what anyone else thinks?!

It doesn't matter who has the rings just as long as they're kept safe. I carried a ring before as MOH.

I've already ordered bouquets for all the BM's I'm now thinking this isnt such a good idea. As Velcro and Mrs Wright says, she couldnt carry both bouquet and ring holder!!

If only my cat could be trained to be ring bearer, it would solve all my problems!

I've learnt alot about wedding etiquette but this one I'm stuck on, who traditionally carries the rings?! Think I'm being a dumb blonde bride!!

I always thought the Bestman carried the rings??
My Mum suggested that my nephews be Ringbearers but that would leave my H2Bs nephew out??
    So, the Bestman it is!!!

There's no reason why she shouldn't carry that??
If you like it, use it!!!
    :-)

Ah thanks Rachael, I just thought it would be different, but maybe a bit tooooo dif! Yeah, I thought it was best man, but lots of people say they are having page boys do it so it confused me! Plus I wanted both girls to have a special part.

Maybe my daughter can be chief BM? I dont want to leave my stepdaughter out even tho shes got her little note to give to daddy? (she doesnt know this and wont do until very near the day as she has loose lips!)

The ring bearer gives the rings to the best man as far as I'm aware ? Thats what's happening at ours anyway ! And at my cousins wedding her MOH had her H2B ring and the best man had her ring so they passed the rings at the times they were needed.. Could you maybe buy two of those eggs and his daughter carry the note to give to her Dad and also your ring down to give to the best man and your daughter carry his down and hold it until you need it ? Dont worry about being different ! xx
