Hi everyone, wanted some opinions please. I've found a photographer I like the sound of and his pics are really good. He's even done a wedding at our venue before. he offers a few packages and the one we'd want is the most expensive, £2450!!! for this price we get:

an engagement shoot at a location of our choice
our fave engagement pic, mounted and framed, brought to the reception for guests to sign
    all pics retouched etc
    online viewing gallery
    dvd slideshow
disc of pics (about 250-300 shots), we'd also have the copyright to print ourselves
    personalised thank you cards
a leatherbound album with 60 images
and 15 print credits to use online to have a hanging print made

What does everyone think? I'm gonna shop around before making a desicion but the photos mean a lot to me and h2b and want them to be just right.

If its what you want then great - we've seen some for 1/2 that price which give the same as what you're getting but it depends on the area xxx

I think the price depends on where you are, we are basically getting all of the above (minus the thank you's) and are paying £1250
if your happy with what your getting and can afford it then i say go for it!!
Photos are important to us too which is why we are paying so much.
Shop around tho, you could find a bargain :-)

If money was not an issue for us we would be having a more expensive package. So if u can afford it and your happy to pay it then go for it.

I think the photos are almost the most important bit, they are what you will have forever as well as your memories, so well worth paying for them. We saw a packing for around £2000 but just found another company that seem to be offering the same for £1090 so we're going to see them on the 11th, definately worth shopping around first!

we're getting married in loch lomond and are getting the same package for £1250, (without the thank you cards), but even if you get them yourself it would only be about an extra £200-£300. BUT he's done a shoot at your venue...it is comforting to know you are getting something good....it's a tough one! Let us know what you decide! Good luck xx

We found one photographer who we loved and his price was pretty much the same as yours and we were prepared to pay but then i stumbled upon our photographers website and loved her pics and her price is sooo much cheaper. Just shop around to make sure you're gettin the best deal. If you love their work and can afford it then go for it. there's no point paying less and regretting it because the pics were rubbish!

i thought £1500 was steep! i do think thats alot personally but is his work that outstanding? and are the photos the most importance? id probably tally it up again whats important n how much your paying for the rest of the day :)

it all depends on the area etc but f he has actually done a wedding at the venue before then speak to the people their and see what they say bout him/her but if you feel that is reasonable and you cant find anyone cheaper then go for it! if you dont then you will regret it! if you can afford it then go for it!
we could have got something similar but no thank yous and exchange engagement shoot for 3 parent books for 1250!! although with our photographer we know a few people who have had him for thiers and as we were reccommended by family we get a free photo for people to sign at reception.
it sounds a bit expensive altho it is a good deal. if that makes sense.

Sounds like a great package, but does sound pricey. I would think half of that price should cover what you're getting, but depends where you are. x
