Ok much swapping and changing been going on in the last fortnight, we went from small family meal to a 50 seated day guests package, that thencause arguements where i took friends of the invite list to put mil2b on, but coz i couldnt fit them all she was second class again (so NOT true)..... anyways me and james got angry and said we just want the wedding, so if ppl want watch they can come but not having anything after.... (expect on sat a big buffet party for all)

    BUT........I WAS THINKING!!!!!!

I dont want walk out of the reg office and say, ok thanks for coming bye, so thought we could get my moh to bring 2 bottle of champs, and a cake to have a toast and cut the cake in the little gardens near the reg office, (but its gonna be a secret so husssshhhh) James said yea, if i want, he also said what about a surprise meal but i said his mum will think i told my family and before so they would come (which wont be true) so thought that wasnt such a good idea.......

What do you think of champs and cake in the gardens tho???? Yea or no..... any other ideas???

*edit* to put mil2b friends (10 of ) on, not her herself!

    ta ladies....

i thought of that steffi but not sure, i mean i might look abit tight, like i want a big wedding but dont want pay for it, then my cousin said what if mil paid for her friends, but then that means i would have to let aunties pay for cousins and there is far to many to start that.

I was thinking tho about doing it this way the ppl we care about and care about us will be the ones who come to watch, with a promise of nothing after..... whilst mils friends prob wont

James asked if i would regrete it, but i dont think i will, coz its different, i think it could be quite nice, also i think i would regret paying for mils friend to come but not my own more

theres a good harvester near us, shame we arent getting married in our own town, traveling an hour to a nice registry office!

I will think about it more, i once suggested the harvester (at 4.99 for a main meal, yummy and fresh also) but james put me off saying you will be in ya dress and locals will just be tramping through ect...

usually restraunts will rope of a section for you (im lucky with the amount of guests i fill the place lol) so u wont have the usual customers where u are if your not sure what people will think u could always put a status on the book of face like i did n see what people put i just put were considering booking a resturant and everyone paying for their own meal so everyone can have what they want would any have any objections to this and i got floods of replys saying they loved the idea

I think that sounds like a good idea, im also going to have a similar prob but what i have decided to do is that the people i have not invited to the meal (at least another 40) i will be inviting them for drinks and a dance afterwards so then even tho they dont get fed they can still be there for pretty much most of the evening then hopefully everyone will happy lol. Terrile really, i think most people just forget that this is a wedding about you and your partner spending the rest of ur lives together, not just a day of free food and drink. Hope it all works out for ya x
