I am organising my hen do myself as i have a wide circle of friends and its alot of hard work getting hold of people for my bridesmaids (not everyone knows each other) I have made a book of face page with my ideas on including where to go and transport etc.....i have had a few quotes from hummer hire companies and they are all roughly going to work out about £45 (we are getting a limo from Cambridge to London and back) so i think this price is awesome as you dont get a taxi for that round here! then we will be going to Ministry of sound, so tickets will be about £15 there, so before anyone has had a drink...they are being asked to pay £60 Firstly - is this an ok amount to ask someone to pay on a hen do?
secondly - in order to book the limo, i would prefer to ask the girls to give me the transport money before a certain date (like in a months time) ...that way i know they are serious about coming....otherwise the price of the limo goes up for everyone else...do u know what i mean? Do you think this is ok for me to ask them to do that? i would hate to offend anyone, but need to know whats what. also - is it acceptable to invite them via the book of face or do i need hen do invites??

my friends hen weekend we ended up spending over 400 per person for the hen weekend without drink!!!! as the bridesmaids planned bath!! and its not the cheapest place to stay!!
i did regret spending that much to be in england.. especially since my hen weekend 4 days 3 nights in magaluf, all inclusive hotel and flights for just over 200 pound each!! lol x but i am also having a hen night at home for the people that cant afford it :) x

i think that sounds fine! We're all paying £90 before food and drinks for mine, for a train to london, a show and a hotel overnight. All the girls said they thought that price was fab for what we're getting and would've happily paid more, so £60 sounds great :o)

not at all - people don't have to come do they? The girls that are coming to mine were asked if they'd like to come, then I asked them how they felt about the london idea and the rough cost, they all thought it sounded excellent so said get on and book it. Lets be fair, its relatively normal for the groom to have his stag expenses paid for by the other lads (not that adam is) and its just an excuse for a night out really isn't it?! :o)

nobody offered to pay for adam, bless him :o( They were going to amsterdam but ended up deciding on dublin instead - can't say as I was massively disappointed at the change of plan! haha. Nobody has offered to pay for me either come to that, not that I'd expect them to :o)

yeah i hated paying 400 and then i spend over another 200 pound for the weekend! as the 400 only covered hotel and breakfast and a few other things! it was shocking!! 600 for a weekend in bath!!!!! arghhh!! lol x

i don't think I'd have paid that no matter whose hen do it was! I simply don't have that kind of money - I'm expecting mine to cost maybe £150 all told which is plenty, wouldn't want people paying more than that. Didn't they ask first if that would be ok?!

orginally it was going to be 100 for hotel for both nights! i was like thats fine!
oh and also i was sharing a hotel room with 3 other girls!!! and it still cost that much!!! x i should of been sleeping in Gold sheets!!! haha x
i refused to pay it, i told the bridesmaids i could go any higher then the 100 for the hotel, i went on holiday and they booked it i came home to an email like you have to pay it we have booked you in now!
so i went and i wasnt too happy about it but i put on a brave face as it was such a good mate getting married! but the bridemaids where a bit OTT!!
Oh yeah and i also have to pay 24 pound a night to park my car!!! lol but rant over haha! x

Kevs angel I reckon book of face invites is fine, especially if there's lots of you going. I did all my organising via text because there are only 4 other girls going, but had there been lots more I'd have used book face. The only thing is, you'll have to be sure the people you're inviting use it regularly, otherwise they might miss it!

I organised our hag do largely via book of face, we had 34 + on the day and everyone had a brilliant time and congratulated me on organising it all. I did get money off everyone first, i pre booked it and paid my deposit which was my fee, then anyone else who wanted to come had to gove me the money by a certain date so that i could get it booked. It was a very good turn out and a brilliant day.

£60 sounds great
I'm paying for my fsil hen party. My friend is coming round the house to do beauty treatments and while the girls are havin the treatments the others are going to make cocktails. I've ordered purple cupcakes for her (their wedding colour is purple) I've sorted out presents for everyone and also I've got goodie bags that everyone can take home with that has face masks, candles, cream loads of different bits in.
There are loads of games to play and lots of food and drink.
Do u think that's okay by the sound of everyone else maybe we should of gone to London but not sure of she would of wanted something like that. It's so hard to plan someone else's day an then I've got to do mine as my BM want to get me really really drunk so I want to plan it myself
