Okay so I'm a bit clueless about this sort of thing.
For our wedding package, we chose the basic package as we are on a tiny budget but it doesn't include chair covers and sashes so we want to add them. We've seen the woman who is recommended by the hotel and she said it'll be £3 per person for chair cover and sash. Then £30 for the top table swag and fairy lights which I love. I just dont know if £3 per person is an okay price? It seems a lot to me and we have very little money, so I wanted to ask your opinions before I book.
    Thanks xxx

Forgot to say, we have 40 day guests maximum so it'll only be £120 altogether. Its not for 100's of chairs lol

Shop around a little. You dont have to agree to the first quote. Look on the popular bidding site as sometimes people advertise to hire out. Maybe your local paper. You may even be able to buy them from the same popular bidding site and then sell them on after. Alway best to compare first. xx

Shop around I had three quotes, most expensive was £4 with sash, I found a guy for £1.50 with sash so it is worth looking around we found him through a wedding magazine article and had excellent reviews

£3 is about right for what i have been looking at.... i meet 3 people at wedding fayres and they were £3 to £3.50 per chair cover and that was fitting too. I have found them for about £2 but DIY and i dont think i would be able to tie the bows as well and dont fancy doing it the eve of my wedding either... just shop around a little bit but sounds about right to me xx

defiantly look around i think its about average but just cos they are a recommended seller doesn't mean you have to go with them i would get at least 2 more quotes before you make you mind up x

Also see if you can pop by and see a venue they have set up. You want to make sure they have high standards and steam all the chair covers prior to putting them on so they are crease free and perfect :) x

I'm sure our chair covers were £1.50 per cover. £3 seems the higher end price brackets for them but I think it also depends where you're from.

I haven't shopped around yet, no. I probably will now though, thanks.
I know I can get the sashes cheap if I want to DIY but I'd rather not have the hassle of trying to tie pretty bows in the morning lol. Also, I don't know how much the chair covers would be...

Sazzell, I went to see her at my venue so the tables were all decorated like they would be on the day which was good! It looked beautiful. So I know I can trust them. And I also really love how she would decorate the top table. I was happy with it all overall but I don't want to spend more than necessary

ive seen them from about £1.50 up to £3 but it depends on where you are in the country. also some companys have a tiered system so the more chairs you have covered the cheaper they are so for your smaller numbers that might be why they are quoting so much.

I would shop around to get the best deal.

I've seen them for £1.50 but that's them delivered and you put them on yourself. The cheapest I found with set up was £2.50 but I don't think £3 is unreasonable or uncommon.

    I can't wait until 29/06/2013

you can get the cover & chair sash on e-bay for £1.00 hun :) you just have to set them up yourself, my friend owns her own business and does them for £2.50. I'd shop around a bit most people are willing to travel a bit for business :) xx

Thanks everyone and thanks for the link Lou :)
I know it would be cheaper to buy them and do them myself but I'd prefer someone to set it up for me. It'd take too much time on the morning of my wedding and I'd be worrying about getting the bows right xxx

Ours is £3 per chair with the sashes included, and although £3 seems a lot, we are only needing 18 chairs so it doesnt break the bank. £57.00

if we were having 100+ guests then no way would we be having them, but they do set the room of nicely, so we are having them.

We have 40 guests so not too bad. I know what you mean, I wouldn't want to pay £3 each for over 100 people! The chair covers look so nice though, I think it really finishes the room off xxx
