We managed to get a venue in hampton for 6700, 60 day and a further 40 for evening, canapes, 3course and finger buffet in eve along with toast drinks/sashes/table wine etc.

without canapes/finger buffet etc is 5000 on its own

Is this a good price, or should I bargain them down even though our deposit is paid, but yet to sign a contact

im a worrier about budget :(

I think it depends entirely on the venue as to if this is a good price. It's sounds quite good to me but prices vary wildly from venue to venue and also for different seasons and days of the week.

We paid £3800 for 90 for a 3 course meal. It really depends on the hotel and location really.

I think that's a fair price is that inclusive of vat though? I forgot that one and it added an extra k! Mine is 6000 for 40 guests, 2 rooms the night before, ceremony room hire, welcome drinks, food, Ivory set up with chair covers and sashes, DJ, extra eve guests and the bridal suite.

Alot of venues really hike up the prices at the weekend, and going by what you said it seems quite a good price to me.

Sounds like a fair estimate to me.. we were quoted £6017 for exclusive use a 3 course meal for 50 people, evening buffet for 90 people, toast drinks and welcome drinks, a dance floor, chair covers and sashes. Decided against canapes as don't think it is necessary.

There is also a further £2k odd for the rooms but we are asking our guests to pay for their own rooms x

I think that's a great price for the area of the venue and you seem to get a lot included. If they can sell that date to someone else I can't see them reducing it for you, especially as it's a Saturday. Our venue was £5000 without any food and it's a northern venue so really I think you've got a brilliant price x
