It depends on the size of the hearts really. I have seen from 1 to a bag full used. How many would you fit in your boxes?

The 5 sugared almonds represent health, wealth, happiness, fertility and longevity and traditionally almonds were used because they represented the bitter sweet qualities of marriage.
If you fancy the traditional go with almonds but you could do 5 chocolate mini hearts to combine the traditional with your theme but if the boxes are a bit big for 5 then you could put enough in to make it look good! ha ha
I would probably go with some kind of heart if that is part of your theme personally

Not sure if I have helped at all though! ha ha

gona ask h2b lol cos just asked my mum and she thinks sugared almonds are old fashioned lol originally i wanted mini vintage cars for the men (h2b works in motor trade) and mini pink nail varnishes for woman (im a beauty therapist) but its working out soooo expensive and i really like the boxes with ribbon as the add more table decor x

we were told not many eat the almonds so are now stumped... may go for chocolates or a traditional olde style sweet to fit the theme
