Just shown my closest friends my 'current favourite' dresses and had a unanimous vote of too boring! :( (Well, apart from the girl who will probably be my MOH, she's seen them before & loves them - we have similar tastes)
As my jewellery can easily be described as "statement" I really want a quite simple dress - I'm aiming for elegant, red-carpet, Hollywood-ish glamour (probably a bit of a clichéd description, sorry!) with a fitted silhouette and minimal bling. But apparently that translates as old, dull and not wedding-y enough :( I understand why they've said this - we're only 21 so may as well make the most of "young" styles, ours will be the 1st wedding & so everyone is pushing their wedding ideas on us. But their examples are big ballgowns (which don't get me wrong, are lovely wedding dresses, just not me) and combined with my jewellery & it being in Vegas I think will push me into the realm of tacky not classy lol. Particularly with it being in Vegas - to me we'd either have to go classic or full blown fancy dress. But I don't want to look boring! :(
So honest opinions - are these dresses boring/too old? Ta Xx

I think they're absolutely gorgeous hun however I'm looking from the perspective of a (almost) 30 yr old. They're classic, timeless and beautiful and if you love them, go for it. You're friends will have their own weddings soon enough, make yours your own x

I think the dresses are beautiful - there is nothing to say that because you are young you have to have a big dress, I looked and felt utterly ridiculous in huge princess gowns and would never have picked one but i dont think that makes me boring Go with the dress that makes you feel most comfortable :)
There are so many people out there who will tell you
what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!

I dont think they look too old! And they are not boring as they all have an understated elegance about them. If you are going for statement jewellery I think it would be best to have a simpler gown otherwise it might look a bit too busy, if you get my meaning. I love the stephanie allin, allure and maggie dresses! Dont worry about what they have said, you will look fantastic on the day and they will eat their words, lol! xx

They are beautiful dresses and it is so silly to say they are boring! I think number 2 is stunning. Maybe they are being affected by the princess dress idea but if you have the figure for the above then a princess dress would do nothing for your figure in comparison to these!!!

Wow I love some of them. I thought you were older too from your writing style. Don't like number 1 (but that is because I don't like one shoulder stuff at all) and I'm not a fan of the Stephanie Allin for its huge split up the back. I wish I had a body to wear a dress like that without serious support underwear and a corset.

I do like that allure one a lot. I love dresses that are a cross between aline and fishtail/mermaid.

i have to say i love them! i also asked my daughter she is nearly 17 so i could get the opinion of someone younger for ya and she said that the 2nd pic is out of this world and they are alot nicer than the "puuffy" dresses no offence to anyone wearing a bigger dress(including me) follow your heart and wear what your gonna feel like a princess in x

I love them all, but 1 and 3 stand out for me, and trust me if i had the figure Id definitly be trying dresses like this on, I dnt think I'll suit the big princessy style ones. Its your wedding, wear what you want and what you feel comfortable in.

I don't like this word very mich but they are all "classy". Do we all have to look like flippin' Jordan? I think it's delightful and refreshing that not everyone goes down the samey Disney-princess route because honestly I think that is boring because everyone is doing it!
As you know I cannot stand bling - only very minimal and understated.
Apart from that - old is good. It's vintage inspired - and that's so trendy right now it's soon getting boring! :-)) (but not just yet)
And one more thing - no man thinks these dresses are boring. They are so figure hugging they are se.xy!

I think any one of those dresses will look stunning! Just remember, its your day, you wear what you like, not what others tell you you should. i was abit worried about my dress being boring (mori lee 1605), but i just love it soooo much! Im blingin' it up with a lush pair of B.A Gaga shoes, and a swarovski crystal headband, just to add abit more detail. Less can sometime mean more!!
