As some of you may know I have been having such a stress/nightmare over sorting a photographer out! The main things I needed to do 10-12months before I have done eg venue/registrar etc and I have been advised by sooooo many people that next step is photographer and dress.... well dress is hopefully being sorted next week EEEK!! but what a stress of the photographer!

I was recommended 2 companies by my venue, one I loved however she is already booked for our date and the other seems to be a very over friendly creepy character! When explaining I have self issues and camera shy etc he started going on about his latest wedding where the bride was exactly the same however she didnt see how pretty she was, cracking figure etc and he got her in all bikini shots etc... put both myself and my OH off completely, now he keeps chasing me for whether to meet up with him or not, emailing me at 10/11 at night, expecting us to drive an hour to his for a consultation etc... bearing all this in mind i have been trying to contact other companies that my cousin helped me find one evening.. out of 5 or 6 noone seems to get back to us!

The next one we loved took 3 weeks to contact me and then told me they are going travelling next year so are not making any bookings just incase it co insides with their plans!

So i rang our next favourite, my OH is rooting for this company but I was not expecting anything good considering our luck so far. unless im eager eager i try to think the worst! terrible i know! and the woman on the phone was soooo lovely, I explained I'd emailed off the website about 10 days ago but wasnt sure if she had received my email (I had confirmation email but as had heard no reply was playing 'dumb') and was wondering if they could send us a price list of their packages. She was saying once we've had a look to call back and book a meeting where we can have a coffee go through all album styles/packages, discussion, get to meet the photographer I can bring whoever i want, fiance obviously, mother, family etc, and she couldnt wait to meet us! Then I received the email within minutes with a message saying was lovely to speak to me and that once we have perused the prices etc feel free to call up and book in, and again looking forward to meeting. was such a sigh of relief to speak to someone and give us a glimmer of good news!

Should I be getting excited that we may have made some progress finally or should I still keep a cool head & think the worst!

Get excited hun, you'll enjoy the process more and have a clearer mind too. Fingers crossed you can get a photographer you like xxx

*UPDATE*

So after looking at the information including prices/packages that was sent over to me almost instantaneously (big word, i know!) I was discussing this with OH last night. bearing in mind this was his gut instinct one and i was trying to keep a cool head.
OH said i should ring them back and arrange a meeting! I have spent all day trying to get hold of them, going to answer machine so theres me thinking it was definitely wishful thinking and my positiveness was starting to lack... i thought id try one last time and leave a message if no luck! But low and behold, a woman answered, not the woman i spoke to before but the photographer herself...we had a lovely conversation and she was so warm and welcoming!! We have a meeting booked for Thursday!! Eeek!! Could this be our photographer?! Could we finally have another thing sorted!! I have noted down all the questions and things from previous threads on here but just had to share my excitement with you!!

This photographer sounds like a keeper. Us photographers can be very busy at times hence why she may not have answered the phone. Sounds like you are on to a winner.
