so long as there is nothing glued on the front. We aint made ours yet as we are glueing crystals and pearls on the fronts, and I dont want them all falling off before we get them sent out!! Also sticking crystals and pearls onto our place cards, its going to take AGES! but we cant do the placecards until we know who is coming......boo

No its not too early. Things like that take time and its good to get as much checked off the list before hand so the run up to the wedding you are not stressing etc. I would say don't print the inserts just yet etc but other than that go for it. I'm just about to make my invites, thank you cards and OOS.

I really want to start making mine but need to buy all the bits and pieces 1st which we cant afford at the moment sadly. So far saving up for our deposit on our venue. We keep having unexpected bills to pay like our oil for the heating which we thought we had heaps but turned out we didnt and then the cars needing springs fixed?? and also the mot is due as well so thats more expense we can really do without but cant be helped

Not too early. Ive started mine and Ive got 22 months. Like Linzi says dont glue anything on. Also keep them away from damp or heat. Nothing worse than card thats culred up at the edges or all rippled. Ive done all my wording for the inserts and checked all dimensions by doing rough copies but until Im ready to send them Im going to leave them on the pc. xxx

I made our invites early so i didnt have to worry or rush them closer to the wedding, was trying to cut down some of the stress , but still bit stressed now lol xx

we gave most of our day time invites out over christmas, get married friday 13th May have asked for rsvp by mid feb so we can organise meals at venue etc and then if people cant come can invite evening guests to become full day guests too xx

we sent ours out about 10 months before really but told all of the family the date as soon as we had set it as we were engaged a year before we acctually set the date :-) x

I am getting married early Aug 2012 ans was told by my wedding planner (the venues own) I could send STD's basically from now onwards but isnt that too early? Also how early do you need to send the actual invites? If anyone could send a link for some ideas on DIY invites that would be much appreciated.
