Is it just me that feels like my wedding isnt going to happen until it actually happens! A family member kindly offered to borrow us around 3/4 of our budget which was very kind of them and we glady accepted as it isnt a gift, we will pay them back. However that leaves me with around £1000 left and I dont feel like it is possible to manage to raise that much money in 3 months! My mum keeps telling me that £1000 is easier to get than £5000 but, it just feels like now we are even closer, but yet still so far. I feel like we are not going to get married because of a few smal things that we cannot afford and we will just end up losing all of our money. I think about this every day, and it stressing me out! deep down I know our families will not allow us to cancel due to money issues, but I hate to assume that someone will just put their hands in their pockets. We wanted to pay for this ourselves and by getting help, I feel like I''ve failed.

Ohhhhhhhhh hunni , you have not failed .... why dont you just take a look at what else you have to pay for and then the things you would like but dont have to have .......
you need to give yourself space go for a walk/ run / glass of wine and then come back to it all
I feel this allllll the time and i have over a year to go yet lol. Hoping to do everything for 5000 but everytime i get some money it has to go on the bills, the car or something the kids need :-( Ive put down half deposits for things and hopefully find the rest soon but at the moment were doing this ourselves with no help and it just seems impossiable.

u havent failed at all uve got a loving family that are able to help u out, by no means is that a failure on ur behalf hun, i think its more of a success as u have a family who love u n want to help when ur going through a difficult patch. u can pay them back when ur more financially stable, i'm sure they would prefer u to have a lovely day, a day to declare ur love for one another and to share the special moment with ur near and dear, than to cancel it. U could at maybe christmas if u celebrate it get extra special gifts to thank them for their help xx
Just sit down with ur other half and look at ur finances - see what u can cut back on over the next 3 months and work out how much u can afford - then ull have a much clearer idea. Ull be suprised wen u look at it as we never thort we cud save up as much as what we do :)
Also as a last resort theres always credit cards or even a small loan! x x
