Hi Ladies

I'm wondering whether I've been sent a sign about "the one".

I started my wedding dress search in March (after some encouragement to begin from my sister). I went to a lovely little boutique on Epping High Street and had the most fabulous experience. Great service and tried on 6 dresses. I fell in love with one in particular and didn't really want to take it off but it was slightly over what I had budgeted for (£300 over) including the veil. The owner said that if I ordered within 4 weeks she'd throw the veil in for free (it was worth £40).

Anyway, I'd seen a lot of pix of other dresses I wanted to try on so decided not to order that dress until I've tried on all the dresses I wanted to in various shops so that I was sure that the one I ordered was "the one" - otherwise I'll be forever wondering "what if?".

So I went to another shop a few weeks ago and was not impressed and left fed up and disappointed with the service and the dresses I had tried on. So that ruled out all the Sophia Tolli dresses I thought I'd like.

I have two more appts booked - at B'tex (tomorrow evening after work at the HoF on Oxford Street) and then 4th Saturday in June at P'vias on Bond Street to try on dresses that do look stunning in the pix.

So, I drove past the Epping boutique a couple of weeks ago and they had a banner outside advertising a 3 day sale - 70% off bridal gowns which was this weekend just gone! I quickly e-mailed the owner about the dress I love and she assured me that dress would not be going in the sale but if I ordered during the sale period I'd get 10% off ...............oh the temptation, but I resisted, kinda regretted it though.

Then, yesterday, I got a random e-mail advertising the shop with an advert/voucher to print off and if I take this to the shop I get 10% off! ..........................is it a sign? There's no expiry date on it so presumably I can use it in early July should I decide for definite that it is "the one"!

Sometimes you can try on too many dresses, and if this one keeps calling out to you, you could always go try it on again and see if it makes you feel the same way? Be reminded of it before you go to the other stores? xx

I did wonder how I got this sent to me as it was sent to my other e-mail address from the e-mail account that I used to e-mail the shop owner ..............I think I'll drop her a mail and ask her about it and maybe book an appointment with her again for after P'vias.

I would def try it on a second time. Often you get carried away with the first impression and then you're more objective second time round - that happened me with one particular dress and now it's moved down my list a bit!

hmm yes, the old budget issue always constrains things a bit...!

There's always a way!!

I think with a bit of tweaking you can manage, especially if it is the one in the end!

i wud go with your instinct.. :) if you feel thats the one i wud go for it.. I have seen so many things that i wanted to buy and thought it will be grand till nxt week and when i went to get them they where all sold out so i say go for it if u think its right.. :)

Oh that's ok then, yes its all about the service as well isn't it. I went back to my little shop with the little old dear and the not so plush changing rooms over the grand huge store with big rooms and plush carpet just because of the service and how we felt there xx
