I am toying with the idea of a Roulette table at the evening do, saw one at a wedding fair recently and it was great fun. Is anyone else having one? or whats your opinion on these? All opinions greatly valued.

H2B really wants one.......... I dont!!! A close family member has a serious gambling problem Plus i personally think there will be a divide of people and the room literally split in two (in our particular circumstances/families/venues)

Yes but you dont bet with real money its fake (only for fun) and the prize is a bottle of champers for the winner. Otherwise your venue would need a gaming lincence.

We looked into it, and we'd really have loved to have gone for it, but the venue isn't big enough to have that a dance floor, buffet, vintage candy bike (take on the candy buffet) and people! so we had to go without.
But personal I think it would be awesome! and allot of fun. I've been to a fake casino night before and I loved it! x
my old work's christmas night out had a fake casino room and we all got chips. i swear, the adrenaline rush was just the same as using real money!! lol

We're having a roulette table too. We fell in love with it at a wedding fayre and have been keeping it a secret from everyone as don't want to ruin the surprise. I can't wait. I love that it's not real money too. We're going to offer a ladies prize and a gent's prize too.

Sorry to be cheeky but can i ask those of you who are having casino tables how much you're paying for them?!
I'd love to have these for the time between the day and evening reception just to give our guests something to get involved in, however i can't make my mind up whether the money could be put to better use elsewhere. I've been quoted £400, that's for 2 hours play with 2 tables (roulette and black jack) croupiers, personalised fun money and chips, themed displays and 3 bottles of "champagne" for prizes.
If we do go ahead we will keep it a surprise until after we've finished out wedding breakfast, i thought it'd be a nice tie in as well as we're going to Vegas for a week of our honeymoon.

i would love one a surprize for Mr lala ..... be really good as our first ceremony is on VoF just outside vegas
we are having a roulette n blackjack table, thought it would kick off n liven up the evening, we could only afford to book it for 2hrs and that has cost £495, iwe felt it would be the fun addition to the evening xx

Nicola I will put the details on your wall for the one I'm using, it might be a little cheaper you never know.
CommentAuthor*~Nicola~*
Thanks for that! They're only £15 cheaper than the one i've had a quote from and mine is more local so don't know if yours would charge for mileage? I'll go and check out their site now :0)
CommentAuthorSijen
We've been quoted £200 for 3 hours playing time, inc croupier and prize and set up. We're going to have ours set up during the wedding breakfast in the bar area (outside) so when our guests come out from the meal they'll have some entertainment for an hour or so before the evening guests arrive.

Wow Sijen that's a really good price!! That's half of what i've been quoted and for an hour longer! What's the company you're using if you don't mind me asking, are they local to you? :0)
CommentAuthorSijen
Yep. It would be £350 for two tables and £450 for 3 tables. They're based in Liverpool but cover the North West. Do you want me to put the link on your wall?

Yes please! Thanks alot xx
If you don't mind me asking, if you're having 1 table, how many guests will that be for?! We're having 50-60 in the day so thought we'd need 2 tables (roulette and black jack preferably)
CommentAuthormarie08
hey ladies youve read my mind i was def thinking of a casino nite theme.just thought it would be better than the DJ. Sijen could you also let me know which company you are using please.xx
CommentAuthorSijen
I'll put the link on your wall Marie.
Nicola - we're having 60 in the daytime but I know not everyone will play and starting it straight after the wedding breakfast will give everyone a chance to have a go before the evening guests arrive. We haven't got the room for 2 tables either.

Thanks so much for that. You've definately given me something to consider too by just having the one table as it would save alot of money. Which table are you choosing?

hi and thanx Sijen will look on my wall.xx

We're having the roulette table. We had a go at a wedding fayre before booking him and it was so much fun. The croupier was fab and although we're not gamblers, we thought that it would go down well seeing as no-one else has had it lol.

We played on one a few years ago at my works Christmas party and thought it was such an original idea to get everyone talking and mixing rather than sticking to their usual cliques. I didn't realise you could have them for weddings until i went to the GMEX last year and saw my local firm there. Would definately give our guests something to talk about afterwards and good to know that my 2 nephews (14 & 17) could join in too as it's not strictly gambling :0)

casino tables are great i went to a wedding that had one and i had loads of fun only cos i kept winning and it helped i was drunk lol, we were going to have one but OH not that keen on it so think we will just spend money on something else x
CommentAuthorocean
my sister had one of these for her wedding and tbh, no one really bothered after 10 minutes of the evening reception being open and the kids that where at the party just kept playing it.
However, i did see one at my works xmas do one year, after the wedding and it went down a storm, so i do think it depends what kind of wedding your having etc etc
CommentAuthorSijen
Yeah that can be a worry but I know we won't have a shortage of guests wanting to play at our wedding.
