    I hear ya girl!!

its maybe a bit early to start stressing, but its not too early to start planning!! And to start finding out what you like, what you want and what you defo DONT want!

so far I have booked my venue and band. Then in Sept I'll get my wedding insurance and book my photographer. Other than that I am just keeping an eye out in the sales online to see what comes up that could save money in the long run!

only problem is changing your mind... I change mine often!

    Hi hun

No you arent stupid at all. A lot of brides do it early because others do it early and suppliers get booked up! lol You can also spread the cost a bit more.
That being said, I dont think its necessary, I did about 3/4 of my wedding planning in the space of 3 weeks when I was about 9 months away lol

the thing is as well, its really scary how fast it will come around. wen we first booked ours it was almost 2 years away and now it next week. you can pick little bargains up and put them in a box somewhere then its less to fork out for nearer the time, thats wot we did. i have a suitcase full of goodies under our bed lol xx

i would definitely make a start with the planning and if you start looking now you can pick up all the bargains as you go so nope definitely not stupid but don't stress with it all as you still have lots of time for that later lol xx

Hey i found i stressed myself out planning so early, so i took a month or so off anything wedding related even off here, so i could just enjoy my engagement with my fella, and now my h2b has suggested i buy a few little bits and store away (in the hopes to move our date forward if i buy all the nicknacks as an when i have spare pennies) So plan whenever you feel ready but please dont get too stressed out and enjoy it and keep your options open and be careful of some things (I almost got ripped off by a wedding venue till the girls on here helped set me straight lol) have fun huni xx

No your not stupid for wanting to be organised and sorting things now! We have just under 2 years for our wedding and have been planning since we got engaged. It amazing how much money can be saved by organising things early. We booked our photographer back in March, and then at the start of may she put her prices up by £200 on the package we have gone for and she has doubled her deposit, but becasue we booked early we get the price quoted to us when!!! Lots of money saved!:)

    Enjoy planning hun.

I know exactly how you feel. We're getting married 4th August 2012 and I really want to just get started. We're going to speak to the vicar on Monday and then book the venue. I think once we've done that I'll be able to relax for a bit knowing it's finally booked. Kind of helps that I'm bridesmaid for my friend in 4 weeks time so have been helping her sort her wedding out. Although I think afterwards it'll make me even more inpatient to have my wedding! I tried to talk my fiance into doing it all next year but we'll have been together 10 years in 2012 and we think it'll be a nice way to celebrate :o)

No you are not i went to try on a dress and i ask the lady in the shop am i doing this to early she said no as they like you to give them 18 months to do the dress. I think it has to be the right stuff you want and if you start now you can look around with out been in a hurry to do it all and then you know it is what you want and will be happy

I started planning as soon as we got engaged (july 2009). I still have 10 months to go and we booked our venue and photographer, also got my dress and shoes and yesterday we picked up our rings. Planning early saves a lot of stress x

no its not too early i have got 34 months left and i have already got my venue booked. I have brought things as they have been on sale and got some fantastic bargains. I have already decided on most of what i want so therefore no 2 years isnt too early it gives you plenty of time to save for the things you need and get them in the sales xx

i don't think it's too early. we went to yet another wedding fayre last night. the photographer explained to us that if we booked him for 2\3 years time we would get the prices he has set for this year! so if the prices go up it's great - obviously not if the prices go down! lol!

i at least want to get a definate date and venue this year.x

Angel82 I'm getting married on bank holiday monday 27th august 2012 and we're putting our deposit down for our venue in the next week or so and I've picked the colour scheme and Anthony and I have discussed the groomsmen's outfits and I've got the final say on my bridesmaids as long as they don't look like pixie lott in her bridesmaids dress (pictured in a very very very well known newspaper a week or so ago THAT I TOTALLY LOVED)!!!

I'm so happy we've started planning so early cuz my mate at work planned her wedding in 6 months and was faced with so many huge obstacles in the last week or so and that would have just made me cry and prob have a nervous breakdown!!!

Its good to be prepared babe xxx

NEVER too early!....We started planning early (we wed on 16th June 2012) we have loads done already, only have invites etc to write, suits & all the BIG amounts left to pay and still have loads of time to do it in! When we booked our venue, they were already fully booked for 2011, so got our date in quick for 2012!!! We now have loads of time to relax, take it easy and get on with "normal" things - just how we wanted it! :0)

I don't think so! Its good to get ahead of yourself, even if its only doing little bits at a time. Also as the girls have said venues etc do get booked up early, we started looking a year before we wanted to get married and loads of places were full already. xx
