    hello!
For those of you who have young bridesmaids....are you going to involve them in the preperations to your wedding? My bridesmaids (twins) are now 11 and will be 12.5 when i get married. I really want to involve them as they are so excited and it will be their first wedding (my sis, bro and i are their only cousins/family). I've decided that they can help me with the invites and we will have a girly night in making them (only a small wedding so not too many to make!) with lots of music, laughs and giggles!

Ive promised them a day shopping, trying on dresses (secretly praying myself, my sister and abbie can get Tansy into a dress as she is a tomboy!) and shoes etc. I think this is proberly the only two things they will be involved in, as they will be too young to come on my hen party!

Does anyone have any other ideas? We are all really really close, they are practically sisters rather then cousins to me.

Yea i would say have a nice girly sleep over as another hen party, play games, do make overs and maybe even buy some non alco champers( i got the pink one for my niece for her bday and she thought she was a big girl drinking champers) for the girls to drink will make them feel so special, hope this helps x

My youngest bridesmaid is 15 and soon to be my step daughter. I have tried to involve her with lots of things - some of which I'm sure she found boring. We obviously did the bridesmaid dress shopping, she came with me to discuss flowers, we searched through the internet looking at wedding dresses and she's staying with me the night before the wedding so we are going to have a girly night. The invitations sound like fun and a really good idea. Personally though - having turned into Bridezilla - I found the invitation making incredibly stressful and time consuming and I wouldn't even let H2b help - in case he messed it up! Oh dear I sound like a nightmare don't I! Debz suggested maybe them having a reading to share - great idea if they are happy to do it. I have my youngest bridesmaid doing a reading as well. It's a really good idea to get them involved - just share everything with them and ask their opinons on things I'm sure they would appreciate that as well.

To keep my kid sis involved with the wedding (shes 13) she is helping me and my other sister make invites and favours, also im having a hen day/night. The day is a spa day which she can come to with the other bridesmaids and then a few drinks at the house (OJ for her lol) before mum takes her home and the rest of us hit town. Lauren will also be staying at the house the night before the wedding with everyone else. She is more excited about all that than the actual wedding now, well apart from getting to ride around in the "princess car" bless her!! x

When I get married my bridesmaids will be nearly 15, one will be 13 and the other will be 10. They are my H2B's nieces. I'm going to take them bowling 2 days before the wedding with the Matron of Honour and Chief Bridesmaids which are in their 20's so everyone gets to know each other coz young Bridesmaids live in France.

thankyou!!!! some fantastic ideas, and i am thinking about the reading, i know abbie would do it, not sure about her sister, i think just getting tansy in a dress will be a mile stone! I will ask them and see, but no pressure, if not my brother said he will do a reading for me.
