Tried to stay away, then had a question to ask and the only place i could think of getting an answer was here......................
Trying to decide if we should do invitations or not, as we're getting married abroad and no one really is coming (too expensive for most people) but there is a link from the Chapel so that people can log in and watch us exchange our vows and I would really like to have our friends and family watching this.
I could be cheap and send an email with the link, but then I keep thinking it would be nice to have proper invites done even if it costs us a few extra pounds on top of the budget.
What do you girlies think????

You might not specifically need invites, but if you want to do some and also if you want family and friends to have a little memento with your wedding date etc. on it then go for it! So in the future when they look through their box of cards, photos etc. they will see your invite and remember watching it and how lovely it was. xx

not only that, a lot of people ignore emails whereas a card would sit on a mantel piece, or fridge and people would remember to log on and view the wedding xx

just been and had a play, think i'm gonna order them from there as they do look stylish and i can get cheap envelopes from the pound shop and that way everyone will know what to do as i've put the instructions on the back............also want invites as i'm keeping a little wedding file to look through when we're old and grey lol x

post card is better as someone said ppl may ignore the email or read it but forget about it. The card can stay out and if you added magnets to it then it could stay on someones fridge.

thanks girls, postcards ordered, and even my mother approves (normally she's like thats a waste of money) but as i said to her she can take a handfull to France for my french family so they know how to log on and view the wedding. And like you say its a brilliant momento for people.
Can't wait to receive them.
Oh and Becky, I seem to have received £10 cashback through Quidco so they actually paid me to have the postcards printed...Bargain!!!

its so much easier as i'd been trying to get H2B to come into town to choose the rings but he was too busy playing with his boyfriends on a saturday to come with me, and theres only so much one can do on ones own. So having them come to the flat was so much easier as i made sure it was an early appointment and he wouldn't have chance to go out to play lol x
