Hi all, we are getting married in Cuba next year mainly due to financial reasons (Wedding & honeymoon in one!!) there will only be my beautiful bride and myself going out as neither family or friends can afford to make the trip. How do we go about sending a formal invite (knowing that no one can come, and without inviting people, as we want it to be just us 2!!) for people to treasure and also at the same time asking them to donate to our wedding / honeymoon as we already have enough plates, pots, knifes etc...?
I dont think my blunt approach of your not invited but feel free to give money as we're skint approach quite works!!

Lol you can't not invite people and then expect money anyway In an ideal world you could, and I love your idea, but I have no help for you as I'm useless at wording things nicely. To me, your blunt approach was just fine!! :P
