So, ive been thinking about the wording in my invitations for a while now. It seems that the most popular wording is of which the parents of the bride request the pleasure of... this isnt an option for me as my father isnt invited to my wedding!!
So ive been looking wording starting with our names, then, whilst i was washing up today my eldest daughter was talking about the wedding and she said "mummy i am so excited about you and daddy getting married, its going to be the proudest day isnt it mummy, when you become a Stevens like us"!!! It then hit me, How about my three children requesting the pleasure of our guests instead of us, they are after all celebrating their mummy and daddy making them a "proper family".
Ive spoken to my mum about it and she thinks its a great idea but my sister thinks its a tad on the tacky side, what do you think?
Sorry for the long speech but had to explain the method of my madness!! lol any comments would be greatly appreciated, please be honest!! xxxx

Nope not at all thats what im doing, my girls will be inviting ppl to help celebrate with us and then our son will be thanking everyone for coming :-)

I read the post wrong about bringing the rsvp date forward ... though it was this year and was wondering why people were saying to you to bring it forward LOL But yes, I would bring it forward as you'll still be chasing way after the date, I'm still waiting for a couple and my rsvp date was mid-march!
