I am currently thinking to keep the entire wedding flower free - not only for money reasons. I am crocheting my own bouquet but because this is quite a job I don't think I'll manage a bouquet for each of the 6 bms. I am handmaking a lot of other things too.
What else could they hold in their hands? Parasols?
The 7 year old flower girl will have a little drawstring bag shaped like a cupcake I crocheted (if I go totally OTT she could throw instead of petals mini cupcakes I crochet :D) and the page boy (my 3 year old son) will have a crocheted life size cupcake with the rings attached.

Little Miss Weegie had gorgeous bridesmaid bag corsages - they'd be a smaller thing to crochet? Xx

No pics yet, but it's a good idea to take some of the work in progress. I am making nany white daisies and one of each colour: red, turquoise, green, yellow, orange, purple and pink. I am making each petal separately so it's taking a while.
If there would be cupcake parasols - great idea. Ha, ha, ha.
There's not a clear theme. It's 50s but because I am a vintage girl so I wear a 50s dress and so will the girls. But I also collect cute deers (fawns) and toadstools so they will be heavily featured because we are getting married under a fake deer head. :-)
I was now thinking of tissue paper pom poms to hold. Found a good tutorial how to make bouquets out of cupcake wrappers - I love that idea but they look like roses and I don't like roses. But certainly an idea to keep in mind.
Not so keen on feathers, they usually go with glitzy stuff.

Mummy to Olivia - I stopped typing my post to help my son - yes that's I think what I'll go for!
I might also make a colourful large one to toss.
A cupcake purse I could also crochet. But I think that's a cupcake overload :-) I am making at least one cupcake garland and all the kids will have mini cupcakes with faces on as name tag holder - that's quite enough I think :-)

Had another idea. Big red hearts on sticks. Ties in with the boutonnieres and my shoes. And I just love simple red hearts.

Big red hearts on sticks sounds lovely - and a bit kitschy and vintage which is my favourite thing too :D. I can't crochet very well but can crochet granny squares and knit - your wedding sounds like it's going to be lovely hon! X
