We got the proof for our wedding invites yesterday and I'm not sure I like it. :-( everyone else things it's ok but I just think it looks like a children's birthday invite. Don't know what to do to even make it better.

I don't like it, but I don't think it looks like a children's party invite either. I don't know as there's really a way to improve it either, without changing it... What about if the invites were black and maybe it was silver and blue, a bit more adult maybe? Maybe speak to whoever is doing the invitations and tell them that you don't like it. They want your business and they won't want an unhappy customer.

I would definitely speak to the person who is making them for you they wont want to loose a customer so will do something to make it right for you

Ah, I'm so picky. I spend all day at work looking at plans of buildings and all I can see is a cartoon. My OH and mum both think it's fine.

It's nice not something I would pick it's not very wedding to me, but if you don't like it change it you are paying for them after all and they have to be what you want xx

I think it's ok and not like a child's invite, but if you're not happy, speak to the person who made them to see if they can make some changes.

I agree I like the simplicity of it but it could be glammedvup a little. Maybe have a word with them and see what they think. Or get ideas from another company?

Judging by the invite and the pic on your profile, I'm guessing you have a bit of a Disney theme going on. If that's the case then I think its nice and simple as they could have really gone to town. If thats not your theme, then I agree because the Disney castle is the first thing I thought of when I saw it so speak to the designer if you're still unsure. X

I like it but I think they could do a better drawing , its a bit wobbly lines looking, that doesn't match the words, if you know what I mean..., not much detail, I think if was better drawing would be great ,

maybe bit more like this or something, look on google find a image you like and ask them to do similar.. that's what I would do :) you should love your invites and they should help getting them right for you x

Being honest. I'm not 100% on it but it's because of the text layout for me. The "&" is far too close your name instead of being perfectly positioned between both names.
I think what would help image-wise is having a border lile the above that EmmaG is showing done in the same imperfect lines and shading to match the castle.

I'm not keen on the castle either, that one you have pulled off google looks lovely. I agree with it looking abit too 'wobbly' the idea istself is nice and the colours are pretty, I would't change those myself personally but I think I would want cleaner edges
Don't thinkit looks like a childs invite though, it IS pretty, but I see what you mean about the castle design xxx
