I am in the process of booking my chair covers and I really don't know whether I should stick to my original plan and order black? I am worried that I will change my mind as our wedding isn't until July 2012 and then I am stuck with it. So Far I have only booked the suits

(they will be having the pinstriped trousers. I was going to have black chair covers with an ivory sash, 2 black starlight drapes on the ceiling, black bridesmaid dresses, cream and black double decker bus and a black starlight dancefloor.

My sister had a black and ivory colour scheme and it looked stunning. Plus as it's two colours if nearer the time you wanted to add an extra colour you could without it looking too much. You could maybe add silver for a bit of sparkle on tables or in your flowers. I think you should stick with your idea, it looks lovely.

If you think that it is too dark, how about just having the top table, in black chair covers???

We are having black and cream as our colours, that's after we were going to go for pink then purple then we seen some nice black and white cakes and thought that's our colour. I think your ideas are lovely but would have white or Ivory chair covers with the black sashes instead of the black covers. x

Love the black and white theme you've picked and love the double decker, what a great idea. Think i'd be inclined to go for the white chair covers too and maybe just have a black runner on the table to offset it and not make the room look too dark. Or as suggested white covers with a black sash x

We are having black and cream so of course I like your ideas! I would personally go for the lighter chair covers depending on your dress colour and then a black sash

I'm not worried about the room looking dark, as we are in a marquee but I really can't make my mind up about the chair covers. I do prefer the black if I'm honest. It was just that I have seen a few posts on here where people have changed their minds about the colour scheme and I'm worried that I will
