Hey girls! I'm a newbie and just looking for some inspiration!! Like every woman I have dreamt about my big day, and now it's coming to make the desicions and start organising it i'm totally lost and haven't a clue where to start!! Any help appricated!!

First of all welcome. Start by figuring out what you can save each month. Then do some research to get some realistic prices for each section. First job I got done was the venue and registrar as at least then I had my date. Good luck.

hi kylie i havent been here long myself but im quiet organised to say how long i have left id say first thing decide on a date then a budget then a style/theme then u need to start looking and booking venue and church, then photographer and then decide on who u want in u bridal party ie bridesmaid best man ushers page boys that should keep u goin for a few months then try decide on a colour scheme if u look on teh main first page forum page there is a what to do list that might help u out x good luck any help just give us a shout x

Hi and welcome...woooo I have found a date twin! We have so far got church, venue and cars (as they come with the venue)! Dress shopping and Photographer next :)
There are some good threads on here of checklists, things to do etc, just have a search. Hope that helps.

Venue - done just need to pay deposit (and also reserved rooms for out of towner!) Bridal party - desided maid of honor, bridesmaids, page boys, flower girls (don't know who is walking me down the alis yet as my dad passed 21/04/2010) Groom party- thats his desicion Transport - don't need as i staying at the hotel (groom going to drive as we'll need a car the next day!) Dress - started looking at details not found dream one yet Colour - Burgandy or red, still deciding

sorry about your dad, how about your mum a brother or maybe a close male friend?? try get your depsoit paid on venue incase someone else inquires and u lose it as far as i know they dont hold if someone else comes along and you havent paid deposit! maybe both with either silver or gold? best thing to do with dresses is to go in with an open mind try different designs on includin ones that u think no way hosay!!! u will be pleasently surprised then u can go from there as for what sort your looking for. if u type red weddings or burgundy in google or yahoo etc on images u can get ideas from there for things u liek taht after u have a few start narrowing down to what is you favorite x

Kylie, i will be having my mum to walk me down the aisle, i don't like to say walking me down the aisle i prefer to say giving me away, and i believe my mum has the most rights to do that (have never been close to my dad). There is no rule that it has to be a male doing it!! p.s so sorry to hear about your dad x
