Hi ladies I'm new, we got engaged 23rd may and getting married 28th sept next year :) i am having my h2b's sis do my hair on the day, and was thinking of just doing my own make up because of budget and because i like things a certain way, but the more i think about it the more i might like to get someone to do it. can anyone recommend someone in hampshire (will be petersfield) who does not charge too much? if i can get a really good price i will consider having them rather than doing it myself. also, does anyone recommend eyelash extensions at all and if so where from? x

Can't recommend anyone but have you asked at the make up counters in places like boots john lewis and debenhams? They sometimes do wedding make up as a side line so you could save a bit of money that way

How about going for a makeup lesson with a makeup artist? Costs waaaay less than having a makeup artist and trial, and you might pick up some good tips. I think wedding makeup varies from around seventy to one hundred and fifty quid ncluding trial.
Or you could ask at local beauty colleges? My friend did this and got a final year student to do hers for free, she was very good too, but obviously you would definately want to go for a trial if that was the case xx

Hi Claire, I'm having exactluy the same dilema, I would like my hair and make up done, but its so expensive! I wouldnt mind just paying for it on the day, but having to pay for a trial also makes the whole thing very expensive. I think I'm going to have to bite to bullet and get someone to do my hair, as i cant do that mayself, and like you, would like to find someone reasonably priced in the surrey / hampshire area to do my hair. x
