Hi all Im new on here and surprisingly enough getting married :D I met my partner in May and to say its been a whirlwind is an understatement, that said we are incredibly happy and excited and now a little lost with the maze of getting married and how much its actually going to cost us :-/ Anyway that was pretty much what I wanted to know, is there a list anywhere that says what you "need" something to give us a start for budgetting :D

All you really need is a cermony venue, and the legal bit, but the other stuff
- reception venue - catering (if separate to venue) - transport (if needed) - flowers - dress and accesories - groomswear - wedding party outfits - entertainment - stationery

hi, congrats and welcome! the first thing i would do, is to get your venue sorted and if you are having a church wedding, get that booked. a lot of venues get booked up quite quickly. then once you get them booked you can start to think of colours, and most imprtantly a dress for you xx

Thank you, I am feeling very excited by very overwelmed atm. My h2b showed me the church he wanted to marry me in 4 weeks after we met and since then we have talked about bits and pieces like the reception venue, bridesmaids etc but now we are planning why am I so scared lol x

I recommend going dress shopping soon- the dresses can take six months plus to arrive in store from time of ordering, and you need time for alterations.
Don't be scared, its fun! Stressful, but fun, and all worth it on the day!

I am thinking of taking my best friend (and chief bridesmaid) out shopping tomorrow, it will entail one flowergirl and page boy coming too but I am excited about that......right going to get the kids to bed, wait for h2b to get in from work, have a glass of vino and get planning :D thanks x
