sorry to rant but i just can't believe what hes done!!! ive just got a bill through for our internet, phone and tv. where it is normal £50 a month. this month it £115 due to calling mobiles!!! so aswell as trying to save i need to pay for this bill he also wants a back tyre for his bike that £130 and serval more things for it costing hundreds!!! and on top of that our tumble dryer broke yesterday!! so im not a happy bunny!!!

oh yes im blocking mobiles on the fone tomorrow so he cant fone them anymore. he did say before we set a date that his bike would be off the road abit coz its over 20 years old and needs loads doing to it. and we agred that ill put of my tattoo as well coz that was goin to cost over 300. it just seems that everything is coming at once and that we will never afford to do it all!!

no its alright!! hes on a low wage as it is. but ive just had enough now!! we have a pot and he just takes what he wants to buy beer and silly things so its annoying me now so im empting my mind on him tonight when he gets home.

My OH is shite with money.... really shite
So i look after all the finances, and he has a certain amount each week for himself - that way i know exactly where we are up to with the wedding and holiday fund and that all the bills are paid.
Its not a control thing for me, its more because i tend to worry about money, so by doing it this way i dont have to cos i know where every penny is going :-D

mine too is pants with finances. when we first got our own place rent was always paid along with everyother bill because i paid it. since he has been doing it in arrears everywhere we look lol. i have taken charge again now he is back at work, got my fingers burned bad on that one, so he isnt having that job again lol xxxx

My OH is officially in charge of our money... we each pay into a joint account and he's supposed to keep an eye on the bills. But the reality is that I pay about half of them, and have to remind him to pay the rest!

mine is completely pants at money too! he gives me seriously trouble with it! i try keep his money off him, but he always tells me he is ahead with bills and then ends up being behind! i dont know who he does it! oh well! i am pretty much paying for the wedding on my own, as well as all the bills and the rent :(

i pay all the bills and i have his card but we just lent some people some money and he gets it back and spends it on beer!! i said to him that he could buy 4 which i thourght was fair as it was my bday money that i wanted to put towards the wedding but he buys 8 and an ale spends half an hour on the fone to a mobile to offer his brother around coz hes got beer!! i feel like im a see through wall at the mo!! but hes f***ked himself as hell have to carry on cycling to work instead of using his bike!! but we might have to move the wedding back anyway as when now need a tumble dryer!!! the washing is piling up and the radiators are full!! :-( things could not get any worse could they??

or try gumtree too under freebies or stuff wanted. My h2b is crap with money if if he had his way we would be living in a cardboard box with a motorbike in bits outside. So I am the one who does all the budgeting and finding ways to make our money stretch and try and keep him off of ebay at every opportunity. Ive just had a talk to him earlier today as we are behind in our rent and if we dont get it sorted soon we will be homeless so anything thats not a basic necessity at the moment isnt allowed to be bought. x

i no my h2b has just bided on some front forks for his bike its ebay and minimoto i need to keep im off!! his bikes been of the road for a month coz his tyre blew out on the motorway!! but the good thing is with his bike off the road is that we aint spending a furtune with meeting and runs. but he was sad that he missed the easter run with everyone.

lol mine is brilliant. We pay x amount into a joint account and all the bills come out of there. He sorts it all out and even has spreadsheets for it - i have no idea what they are about but they keep him happy. He doesnt drink or smoke so he rarely spends much money at all bless him x

well i have been a student for the past 3 year and had to live off a really small amount of money every month so, we have been sharing h2b money, but i start my new job in 3 weeks so .... we are gonna be so much better off.... we have a wedding to pay for you know ??

I feel really lucky, my H2B is great with money. We pay a set amount into the joint account each month and pay everything by DD from that. Nothing is ever late. He pays his credit card off in full each month. and we even have alot extra in the bills account for our holiday. God job he is good because I am rubbish!
Bad news for me today though. Car is making odd noises (may be the exhaust) and they have just cut H2Bs overtime after promising him extra hours. Not good!

Well before he comes in tonight chick calm down and think about what u need to say to him. I had to do the exact same thing! It was £20 here £50 there and before i knew it all my spending money had gone on him!
So i suggested a joint account for the bills n that n then transferring a certain amount into personal accounts each month n thats all that we can spend on ourselves! Simple as... and if we went over the bank charges would then hav to come out of our personal money as it was our individual fault!!!
Money is a right pain like!!!
What also helped was me doind a spreadsheet for u showing all our outgoing and incomings - i did one for th emonth where he spent all the money and he was shocked that hed spent that much!

it was only abit goff the bent his lever and indercater and sratches but not much. he wasnt happy that he isnt getting it back on the road. and this morning his stop tap was pi**ing out petrol so once again hes not a happy bunny!!! he usong his push bike at the mo and he said hell have to get use to the idea of that for a year. but now after the wedding he wants to start saving for a new bike!!! he never learns

chick im in the same position as you. we just got a new car which put our payments up by 5 pound a week but im not bothered as we are saving on petrol, but he wanted a blow off valve 50 quid, he went and got it off of ebay, then a sticker 8 quid, now some sort of silly pipe. 10 pounds.
He said to me im the one doing to overtime, first of all i never asked him too and he told me all the overtime would be going to the wedding fund.... the lastest is lowering the car and new lights. i have told him the wedding will be off if he spends anymore on the car. so hunni i know how you feel.

skitty - I know exactly how u feel hun, my H2B had a car crash in january and our gorgeous car got wrote off, he got him claim money throu and he bought a new car, but now he is bored of the car and wants another one!!!!! It dont matter how much i go on about it he still keeps looking for one!!!!! He doesnt get that if we dont put a certain amount of money away a week we are not getting married when we want too!!!! drew last year had money from a bike that he had robed from where he worked but coz the had the bike on finance it just paid that off!! so he had to buy all his leathers again and hes using my helmet at the mo but since then bike are bad news well since hes had bikes there bad for him hes been riding since he was 16 hes 25 now!! he crashed his 1st bike into a car and done his back in!! he then sold his 2nd bike to his brother how got to taken by the police!! then he got he 2st older bike and that fell to peices!! then he got the 1 on finance and crashed that in wales and turned it into a streetfighter and 2 weeks later got it robbed!! now this one which was a bodge job when he brought it of a workmates dad!! so now hes stuck with a push bike which is now having problems!! 2 wheels for him doesnt work but he wont drive and he feels cars are more dangerous!!

o not good, we have a good systerm coz ben (h2b) earns more all the bills and everything go out of his account then i give £30 each week to both of us and with that we have stuff we want (me i have my nails done. then keep the rest for shopping and weding stuff. wil be better when i pass my driving theory and test coz itll b more in the budget. ill not get a car until after we are married

hes got a yami frz600 1989 so 21 years old. he has his mot and tax in may and the forks are leaking and theres dints so hes goin thru seals like boxers. when he brought the bike the electrics where all bodged up so had to sort them out. hes had to sort the surspention coz that didnt last long. and the other week he paid 160 for header pipes coz well there was 16 holes in it and the joint came of!! lmao.
