Ok so I'm getting married today.. It's really early and I'm wide awake and in a fit of stress to be honest.
I've literally just had a message from two of our guests have dropped out due to illness. Worst thing is.. I care about them alot, but I can't help feeling gutted because it's our money(and it's alot of money as we all know), down the pan.
I can't sleep, I cant think straight or anything. Gahhhhhh!

Deep breaths! Your guests must be gutted at not coming too! Why don't you run the bath and gave a nice soak and a nice cuppa tea. What time are you getting married? Have a fabby day, it'll be fine!!

aww hun, i feel gutted for you but as others have said, the guests are probably gutted as well.
do you have anyone on your evening list that you could give a call to and invite them to the day so that the money is not wasted

shame that guests drop out last minute. I would be a bit annoyed too, they more than likely hung on to see if they felt better today or not. We're expecting people to drop out at the last minute, they always do.
Just try and do youre best to put it out of your mind, at least they told you! My first wedding we were meant to ahve 48 guests, all replied syaing theyd be there, 35 turned up, the rest didnt even bother to say they werent coming!

Maybe you could hint at the venue manager saying that 2 wasnt coming.......maybe they can give you something as they arnt serving 2 meals.....like a bottle of champers or something?

i can totally understand your disapointment, i hate it when people dont turn up!
But just look on the bright side:
1 - you get to marry the man you love 2 - the weather is amazing 3 - your going to have the time of your life 4 - all the hard work you've done to get to this day will make you enjoy it :)

think of it another way, the money was spent anyway whether they came or not....I know it would have been money you could have saved but thats sometimes the way things go....... but ocean is right......LOOK AT THE GORGEOUS SUNNY WEATHER TODAY! and no amount of money can buy that..........

Hope you have a wonderful day. I know it's disappointing about your friends - but you'll still enjoy your day. The same thing happened at our wedding - my auntie was really ill and couldn't travel. I was upset because I'm her only niece. She sent a lovely letter for us to read at the reception, but it did feel odd her not being there.
