I am not going to be wearing mine over my face as I'm worried that it will catch as it is pulled back over. x

I am wearing a veil, but I didn't want it over my face. But now that I see the pictures, I think I will try it when I go dress shopping.
CommentAuthorSandyG83
i wasn't going to have a veil but my daughter persuaded me to try a short one on and i kinda liked it so i will be trying them on now and if it suits the dress then ill wear it if not just a tiara which i am making myself :)

If your wearing a veil over your face when are you lifting it? when you are declared husband and wife for the kiss, or when you get the the end of the aisle?

My dad will lift it when he hands me to chris after our walk down the aisle.
Some people prefer h2b to lift it, and others wait until they say the vows. But there are no vows in a Greek ceremony, only the priest speaks!
I initially said I didn't want a veil, but once it went on with the dress I fell in love with the look.
Not sure to have elbow or full length so I've bought cheap off the bay to try with my fitting.

I don't think I'd like it over my face as I'd feel quite chlostrophobic. Some of those pictures are lovely though! Ill just clip mine in at the back, although saying that, I dont actually have one yet haha

I think it looks perfect Lana. I'm wearing mine just at the back above my neck. I tried it a few ways at the hair trial, and it didn't look right. (I also have 2 veils, as wasn't sure which one would be best) x
CommentAuthorMrsRMalone2b
I'm not wearing mine over my face as my fringe will go static and stick up a la something about mary..... I'll probably have it over in some after photos when there's a brush, mirror and hairspray on hand lol
CommentAuthorCharlotteE98
My veil is more of an accessory and I don't think I'd like it over my face
CommentAuthorMrsManiatt
I have a 2 tiered one and it will be over my face until i get to the altar and my sister (bridesmaid) will lift it up then xxx
CommentAuthorWhovianbride
I was thinking of having my mum lift it when we get to the end of the aisle , as i don't trust my oh with his probably shakey, sweaty hands at the end of the ceremony to lift it carefuly with out destroying my hair

I was convinced that I didn't want a veil and my fit try on I didn't like the ones that she had in the shop, also felt very claustrophobic, but I went back with both my BM to try on again (one BM lives quite far away) and tried a very sheer full length one on and fell completely in love? Ordered it there and then! It is more of an accessory as having a little boy I don't think I could get away with wearing on over it over my face, lol
Can't wait to marry the man of my dreams & become Mrs Green

My sister lifted mine when we got to hubby and the priest. Love the photos with the veil over my face walking down the aisle.
Try different ones on as some fall quite heavy and others have more body to them, mi tried a few on and preferred the one with more body and shape to it rather than looking like it was heavy and flattening my hair.

My veil wont work over my face it goes to a point.. N that points to the wrong area haha :-)

I'm still undecided if I am having one but I think I will, if so I am just going to have a short waist length one at the back of my head.
Got together on 14th March 2010
Got engaged on 25th December 2013
Became Mrs P on 14th May 2016 - best day ever!
CommentAuthorElinor Claire
I had a waist length one, and had it at the back of my head under where my hair was fastened. I might have considered having it over my face if I had been wearing it further forward, but with a tiara as well it wouldn't have worked.

I wore mine under my chignon but only for the ceremony and the photos after as everyone kept pulling on it accidentally when giving hugs etc and when putting their arm around me for photos, plus the comb starts digging in after a couple of hours, so it came out just as the meal started x

I haven't decided which I am doing yet I think it depends on the venue and if you want to be formal or less formal, it is personal preference I think, I dont think there is any correct etiquette :) xxx

I'm thinking of not a veil as the material that veils are made from makes me itch. But the pictures that you've put on here look so nice. I'm in two minds now, you never know I might find one that doesn't my make skin itch.
CommentAuthorWhovianbride
At Samantha slot of veils i tryed are rather stiff and scratchy but I f puns some really sorry smooth ones too.
