Would any future kids have to be Tester too? Or could they still be double-barrelled like Kayla and Ollie? xx
I can't believe we've actually done it

I'm still unsure too Nicola. The main factor would be the kids. Because they are both double-barrelled I don't know whether I want to be DB like them or whether I just want to be Mrs Tester. x

im now Daltry and wer planning on changing the childrens names by deed poll pretty soon,we had thought of double barrelling their names but they want the same as us

Its entirely upto you hun... The ONLY reason i am taking H2B's name is i don't want arguments/confusion when we have children. I don't like it and would rather keep my own (as i am the youngest 'Warne') as when my mum/dad die i will be the only 'Warne' left; Grandpa's brothers all had daughters too (the ones that had kids). But i think it will just make life easier for me to take H2B's name, not sure about 'Billany' for the rest of my life though!

Tom said i had to take his name and to be proud of being a Relf. If you had a double barrelled, would he consider having it to so your all the same? xx
CommentAuthorLedZepLover
My friend named her daughter with her surname and the dads surname, so it was double barrelled. She wanted this as she isn't married to the dad x x x

Hed be so upset if i didnt take his name so i defo will be, my 2 youngest already have his name but my eldest 2 have my ex surname, only problem i have is my daughter...she wants my new name once were married but im 100% sure her dad wont allow it i really dont think a db would go so bit uncertain what will happen. xx
CommentAuthorDrunchPunk
Mara - Hails is right - you can still double barrel the children's names, even if you're married. It makes no difference as to what you can name your children, it's completely up to you.
I don't think there's even a requirement for the child to have the same surname as either of you, if you don't want! I might be wrong..

I cant wait to take H2Bs name, I was going to go back to my maiden name after my divorce but realised no-one could ever spell it right so stuck with my married name. Kids are staying with their former name just because its easier!

You can pretty mcuh have whatever you want

im taking my h2b name as i love the way you pronouce it as its french, thou no one knows how to spell it!!!! I would of thought any kids born after marriage would take the fathers name....but if your other two children are double names, then maybe your future 'newborns' should have both names and celebrate the joining of your and your h2b.

Im definatly taking h2bs surname, after 23 years of being Sarah CHICK and having to spell it over the phone and gettin " sorry is that chick as in chicken without the EN?" I'd much rather be walker. will change Our daughters names by deed poll. :) xx
