    Hi ladies,
I had my first consultation on cake the other day, me and h2b LOVE chocolate orange but both our mum don't so our cake lady said about a dessert table???
Our colours are brown and orange so we are having a small 2 tier pretty cake and lots of little bits on a table to make everyone happy !!
So please can I have some ideas of brown or orange sweets, cakes and biscuits.

Our cake lady also makes sweets and old style things like coconut ice

    Thanks x

Chocolate orange cookies? Jaffa cakes? How about some sort of tarts with orange and chocolate? Or what about orange and chocolate cheese cake?

Could do lots of different cupcakes with orange and brown icings and toppings, alternative the flavours so some are plain choc, orange or a combination.
Remember its your day though, if you try pleasing everyone you'll be setting yourself up for a big headache.

Don't stress too much about pleasing everyone. Let's be fair, by the time the cake is cut most people are stuffed.

I love the Jaffa cake idea. Very fun. Nice colour scheme by the way. Very elegant.

I agree with different flavours for the different tiers - could you have one flavoured chocolate orange and one a different flavour? The cake decoration can then still fit in with your theme and you get the choccy orange cake you and h2b want?

I'm making my own cake and having thre or four tiers and all will be a different flavour!!

Ooooh Jaffa Cakes! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Now I'm getting ideas! Oh no, stop InDreamland!

    LOL!

I love the idea of the sweets and cake table though. Personally, I think maybe, if you really want the chocolate orange cake maybe have one tier in that flavour and the other tier in a more "traditional" flavour? Or, it's your wedding so have the cake you want hun xx

I'd do different flavour tiers -that way you get what you want and your mums can have something different. Don't not have something you really want because other people don't, it's your wedding afterall!! x
