I'm making the slips to go into the crayon packs for the kids and I'm stuck as to what to put on the back of it. I'm doing the front with our names and wedding date and the childs name along with the same detail as what we are putting on the invites etc. I just don't know what to put on the back bit?

I was thinking about a little poem to ask the child to draw us a picture of our day for us to keep but not sure what to write etc. Any ideas welcome.

With these crayons can you draw
A picture of the groom and bride
Whilst they are dressed up fancy
Looking at each other with pride

    Make the picture fun
    Add some colour and think
What else to put in it
    With blues, purples and pink

And when they take them away
Enjoy the rest of your day
As they will look at them later
    And recall their special day

    Ok I tried lol!

    I like that spooney!

what is the age range of the kids? you could have a pre drawn picture for very young children to colour and have the older children do their own xxx

Awww spooney you are fab! Thanks so much for that x x x x

We have children aged from 3 months to 13. I'm putting in both colouring books and plain paper for them. They also have lots of other little things to play with apart from the really small ones. I just can't wait to see it all done as I'm doing the slips like the invites etc to make them special. I think I only paid something like 25p for a full pack of crayons each for them but it will look like they are worth a lot more by the time I am done with them. I ust love the way they will each have their own names on them to make them personal.

That poem is fab: did you make that up yourself?? You could have ideas for them to draw..I remember when I was younger I used to get out my pens and then be like 'What shall I draw?' to my Mum and Dad :)

Good idea. I'm going to ask them all to draw Kev and I and then they get a prize for the best one (only they are all going to be the best one) I'm then going to make an album out of their pictures. After the wedding I'm also going to make a photobook from the wedding photos so I will also have some of their images scanned in and used for that too.

I'm not sure yet as I'm not wanting to overload them with sugar. It may end up being a lollipop or sweet but I'm hoping to find something maybe like a pencil case/toy or something along them lines...........

Well I got my crayons from Asda if that helps you any. They were the smartprice half crayons. Ideal as they have the plastic covers to keep them together etc.

I really like the idea of the crayons, i had thought about it but h2b wasnt too keen, the lady at the venue said she would prefer us to use pencils than crayons because of the wood floor, which i understand...... so might have a looksie if i can get little packets of pencils, failing that 1 or 2 big packs and put them all in containers on a table.
