I'm really stuck on an idea for wedding favours, needs to be as cheap as possible without looking cheap though if that makes sense?

we are having charity pins for the women and lottery tickets for the guys - at £1 each the lot of them are costing us on £70 which i think is really good. You could always buy the organza bags and the heart shaped chocs off of ebay and making them up yourself, i think they are reasonably cheap to do x

CommentAuthordee
I have already bought the bags i just have nothing to fill them with, not to sure people will appreciate being given an empty bag, although their faces would be a picture. x
just buy a big box of the those silver covered chocolate dagrees or something.
or go to an old fashioned sweet shop and put colour co-ordinated sweets in - like if your having a red wedding cola cubes or something? and purple you could put blackcurrent and liqourice sweets in, traditionally you put 5 in. just buy smart price ones or something :-)

We got the little packets of love hearts can get them cheap on the bay :-) x

Hi Dee you can make "survival" bags with your organza bags. You fill them with: An Eraser-to make all those mistakes disappear Elastic-To help stretch beyond your means Marble-For when you feel you have lost yours Coin(1p)-so you will never be completely broke string-to help you hold it all together Chocolate-to help you remember someone cares
Attach a small note to explain the bags and they will go down really well and they will cost about 50p each to make xx

Etsy is really good for favours I'd say. Just type in a "theme" word and it'll give you tons of stuff! I wrote "tattoo" and spent 2 days going through everything haha. But I got 50 temp tattoos, customised with our names for £50 :)

We had cancer research angels for the women and british legion poppy pins with the date on for the men! They went down really well and I think that people really appreciated that we were giving something to charity as well. HUbby explained in his speech what they were for and people were wearing them for the rest of the day.

i am making my own and they are deffinatly not everybodies cup of tea, but i am confident that my guests will be amused with them even after the wedding. I am making moustaches on sticks, i know its been done before but I think its adds a bit of quirky fun to the da, plus nobody i know has done it (yet)
