ok i have had a poo day today, my baby bearded dragon passed away today, if you dont know a bearded dragon is a lizard, ive only had her a week but she was my angel, her name was crookydyle and i love her so much i cried so hard, thing is she had a sever calcium deficiancy so i knew it was always on the cards that she could pass away but i just thought i could nurse her back to health, anyway when we got her we also decided to have her mate too whos a male, they were both for rehoming as they were too ill to be sold for full price, and im a sucker for injured animals and trying to nurse them back to health, so yea when she passed away she left her mate Dundee behind and now im not kidding he looks so miserable, he always protected her and slept by her and now shes gone :'( aswell as that my pregnant yemen chameleon went missing but thankfully we found her after phew! so i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how i can raise money to get another bearded dragon to keep Dundee company, they are £40 each, and i dont earn hardly anymoney and what i do earn only leaves me about £3 a week for tobacco cause of paying rent and busfair to get to work lol. any ideas on how i can raise money to find a mate for poor dundee? thanks everyone xx

Anything you can sell on ebay? Like old DVDs, clothes that don't fit, books you never read...

how about contacting your local rspca and see if they have any bearded dragons that need rehoming? its amazing what you can find at their rescue centres, and if they havent got any they may know someone that does! or pop a few ads up in your local supermarket/free newspaper to see if anyone has a bearded dragon they dont want anymore? One they have lost interest in etc.

yes if you have a car and dont mind traveling you might find one to rehome as i would think they are hard to rehouse.

:( awww, hun, our gecko jack died from pretty much the same though, though her mate arthur (tee hee both are girls!) had a bit of a sad time and then started to perk up, she got very fat cause now she gets more to eat cause Jack used to eat all the food. has dundee been checked out? if he's off colour could he just be shedding? Arthur had us convinced she was on her way out once (until she shrugged her skin and was all happy again!)
make sure he is getting supplements for the calcium and he should be fine.
from an expert : Bearded dragons do not need the company of other bearded dragons. A dragon will be perfectly happy with just you as a companion
:) i hope he perks up for you hun.
