So we both love the idea of going to Alton towers and it will be the last week of the park being open when we want to go (finances allowing).
I was looking at their rooms for a suitably honeymoon-type room and I saw their Sonic the Hedgehog room. Its really not my thing but H2B is a huge computer game fan and some of his few happy childhood memories involve playing sonic on his saga megadrive. I love the idea of the look on his face if we did when he walked in to the room.
What do you guys think, shall I book it as a surprise for him?

Indreamland, I think the park closes during a period in the winter I don't think it's closing all together though someone correct me if I'm wrong.
As for the room, sounds like a great idea especially given your h2bs background with games and sonic :-) x

Awesome. That's the plan then.
And I just checked: my workplace do discounts and I can get 46% off when I call a particular number and tell the booking agent the magic word. Bonus!
