I'm planning on saving a few pounds by making my own stationary - but am worried I will actually end up spending more on the 'ingredients' to make them and messing them up and having to re do them etc.
plus I'm a little worried they could end up looking tacky!
It would be great to know if anyone here knows of any pre made DIY invitation packs or books or something that could give me a step to step on how to do it, but without costing more than if I actually go to the printers.

Yes hun I can send you a few links to sites that do diy kits. Theres one that does 10 for £9.99 but includes everything you need inc choice of colour ribbon....you just need a printer. Another site I can send you does kits of 25 from £18 and includes all the stionery needed for your invites including the double sided tape! You just add gems/ribbon if desired. xxx

Pre made invitation packs work out more costly than bulk buying card online from an office stationery suppliers and getting little bits to put on your invites.
I am buying card and printing mine. Just want something simple and because I make cards I have some adhesive bows and stones to stick on my invites to make them look a little more personal
Hope this helps :) xxx

If you unrestrict your page (allow friends to view profile) and then I can send you a friend request which then allows me to post links on your wall xx

I will put the link on you wall where i get all my crafts stuff from and believe me I make a lot of crafts. if you keep it simple you cards will look amazing but don't get taken carried away with the bling. have a look at other peoples projects before you start and get some tips on how to do them. have a look at my pics and let me know if you want any tips

I'm making my own too. There's a magazine that specialises in wedding invitations (about £10) and comes with a CDrom. I'm using one of their designs and tweaking ita bit to make it unique. It will cost about £100 for everything i need to make all my stationery- 100 day invites, 50 evening, oos, menus, table plan, place cards. Saving loads of pennies!
