Hey!
For those of you unaware (sure knows ive talked about it enough lol) I won the UK Bride power user competion last Sept of a fab Honeymoon!!!

We went to Phuket Island in Thailand!!!! and got back yesterday :(

OMG!!! amazing in every way - we flew from Heathrow to Bangkok (11 hrs) - then got on a smaller plane from there to Phuket.(1.30hrs)
Then we were met by a private car and chauffered to our resort hotel, once there, we were met by some beautiful Thai people who were so friendly and welcoming (i know some may say it was their job - but they were all so very lovely ) we were given a cold towel to freshen up and a vessel of water, ....was quite hilarious actually as we dipped our fingers in it!....oops we was ment to drink it but it had stuff floating in it??? anyhow........

The beach was beautiful - although the time of year ment the ocean was treacherous! it was red flagged the whole time and lifeguards refused to allow anyone into it....not that you would want to when the waves are crashing and you can actually see the rip underneath......

we went in as far as knees and you could realy feel the strength of the water!

so we spend time chillin and havin a few beers in the beach bar area,

There was a stunning pool, and a warmer smaller pool too.....

It was the start of the monsoon season in Thailand, so when it rained, which in fairness it rained every day for about 10 mins only........we just got into the pool....well we was gonna get wet anyway!

The food was amazing, traditional Thai curries etc, additionally you could have pasta's pizza and snacks, i have come home quite fat! lol

The staff were perfect in every way - so smiley! we met some othercouples too, one couple in particular we became friendly with from Oz, and they invited us to come and stay with them !.........we shall have to see about that - not sure i could sit on a plane that long (unless i go back to Phuket first!!!)

We had the best time ever!!!!

so i would really like to say a massive THANK YOU! to UK Bride for giving this competition prize! We would have not been able to afford a honeymoon like that!!!!

Yep really won it|! lol....couldnt believe it at first either!, ahhh Phuket is awesome - really lovely - however i would not come again in August,....lol its the start of their monsoon season, so its quite wet, it didnt stop us doing anything as you can see, but a few of the nicer things....like the beach beds and hammocks were away to save them from weather. It was still very warm, at around 32 - 36 each day and it rained most days, but only for about 10 mins...Thursday PM was a different story!...i'd never seen rain and storms like it, but it was very romantic to watch from our balcony :) We will defo be returning to this resort....we've left a bit of our hearts here xxx

When we pull these prizes together for our members we don't fully appreciate what it actually means to win them.

I know you have been a member of my site for quite sometime and I accept and understand that one day you will no longer visit my pretty pink site. words cannot express the feeling of getting that all important phonecall when i was told i'd won it! lol.....i didnt believe him at first! then afterwards thought hmmm...is it really real?....whats the catch!?!....nope, no catch, got in contact with other people regarding the prize and it was all confirmed, all i had to do was choose the travel dates!
Not only has this site provided us with a Honeymoon of a lifetime!, it has also given me ideas for my wedding day and somewhere to throw ideas around to other people in the same situations!, its been truly invaluable and i will tell anyone who has recenly got engaged, or planning a wedding to get logged on to UK Bride!

We kept sitting by the pool or on the beach just looking at each other ...aying bloomin hell, we won this!..still cant get over it!
