.... but everything comes back to bite me in the a s s!!

Basically my h2b doesnt speak to his mums adoptive parents, but she invited them to the wedding so theyre coming.
They have dogs and refuse to put them in kennels.... so theyre bringin a campervan up and wanted to park onsite.

I emailed our venue and they said this wasnt allowed (i knew that already lol) but that they do have 1 room onsite (not in the actual hotel) that they will allow us to have the dogs in.

So i thort brilliant and immediately sent a msg to h2bs mum.

Well she went off it "I THORT DOGS WERENT ALLOWED AT UR VENUE COS U SED I CANT BRING MINE, THIS IS SO UNFAIR"
    BLAAAAAAA BLAAAAAAAA BLAAAAAAAA
Yeah the reason she cant bring her dog is that we wanted her to be in the hotel with FAMILY!!!!!!!!

Honestly i try to do something nice and look where it gets me!

    xx

    Happily Married! :) xxx

    *hugs*

First off - she had no right to invite her adoptive parents to your wedding and I think you've been more than reasonable by allowing them to come!
Secondly - either you or H2B explain to her that they have somewhere away from the main hotel where the dogs could stay and they're not allowed in the hotel but if she'd bothered to ask herself then she could have brought the dogs. Then you might want to point out that it was HER that invited the APs so actually this is HER doing and not yours ;)

Sweetheart you're gorgeous and lovely - don't let something as silly as dogs (ffs) get you down. Like how many 'normal' people take dogs to a wedding anyway?
BUT if taking the dogs is that important to the woman then speak to the venue and see if there's another room for her, then say "You can take the dogs but it means you won't be staying with the family so it's up to you"

    It's right what they say
"The course of true love never runs smoothly"
But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D

sounds like she would almost prefer to be with her dogs then with rest of the family hun

i wouldnt even dignify her tantrums and throwing her toys out the pram with a response..ur better than that and she certailnly doesnt deserve a explanation when in turn she's been a nasty moobag and invited people without consulting you or ross!!!

smack the b!tch up lol xx as the prodigy say

She knows my h2b doesnt want them there.... but yet she invites them there neways!

Personally I would put your foot down. Why are they coming anyway if you dont speak to them?? This is YOUR day, not H2bs mums and you shouldnt have anyone there to celebrate if you dont want them. I would talk to her and say actually, in retrospect it is going to be too difficult and cause too many problems, say its just immediate family and friends to keep numbers down. Its not up to other people to dictate to you who is going to be at YOUR wedding!!!! Things like this make me cross!!!! Uninvite them - whats the worst that can happen? His mum may be uppitty for a while but she has 14 months to get over it! x

Even if she IS paying for the wedding I dont feel it gives her the right to dictate who will be invited, after all she could invite any Tom, Dick or Harry, her work mates, her Bingo friends, the little old lady from across the road who enjoys a good wedding..... where would it end??? I would put a stop to it before you end up going to a wedding where you dont know half the guests or dont LIKE half the guests!!!

H2b dad was on about inviting LOADS of ppl that matt hasnt even heard of let alone met?? So to stop any arguements as i refuse to invite ppl i dont know to our special day, we are going to america lol. His dad said we were SELFISH and MEAN for this as he doesnt like america, my response, dont come then, we'll see you at the party when we get back.
His mum had a right go at him tho so at least shes on our side hehehe.

She is paying 1000 towards our wedding (my parents are paying 10,000 but whatever lol)
    Shes just plain annoying really!
Kickin up a fuss for no reason
Ive rang my h2b and told him what id said and he was like "well my mum sed she didnt want to bring the dog so i dont see wot the prob is"
So basically his mum is making this out to be a prob for me but is saying nothing to him!

I wasnt that bothered when she invited her parents cos im a family girl and i would love to meet them.
My h2b doesnt like his mums dad cos apparently he abused her wen she was a kid, but shes sooo close to him and is always at his house etc etc so i really dont think thats true! Why wud u want ur son to know a man who abused u?

But anyways my h2b even doesnt believe her he just stays clear but has always said that he would love a bigger family, so to have the opportunity to meet everyone would be nice :) x

Well TBH I treat my dogs like my babies mainly because of my inability to have my own kids.

Although I ain't so soft with them that they come everywhere with me - am happy to put them in kennels although every now and then I miss them being around but I also enjoy having the freedom of a day or so without them.

They will be going in the kennels the day before the wedding and if we are lucky to get the honeymoon the day (or 2) after the wedding they'll stay in while we go away and we'll take them out when we come back.
