OH and I went to meet with the wedding coordinator at a local hotel this evening that we're considering for the reception and wedding breakfast. I did have some reservations about the place as the food seemed to be so expensive, however meeting with lady at the hotel and talking through the almost endless options really opened my eyes.
I have worked out we can have a good selection of food for our guests for almost £600 less than I imagined, and the venue is open to all ideas. They will let us decorate the room the day before and and can arrange for discounted rooms for any of our guests.
We like the place so much, and also got on well with the wedding coordinator so well, that we're on the verge of booking it! we're just waiting until Friday as the function room will be set up for a similar style wedding to ours, and we've been told we can go along and have a look to see if we like it.
I'm excited!
Can't wait until the day I become Mrs. Johnson :)
