However i need advice, do you think this is a good price for 50 people?

    for £1950 (39.50pp)

    i get
    - Use of the banqueting area, the outside courtyard and the bar
    - A glass of Pimms or bucks fizz on arrival
    - Half a bottle of wine during the meal
    - A glass of sparkling wine to toast
    - 3 course Carvery Meal
    - Jugs of water in the tables
    - Cake Stand and knife
    - White linen tablecloths and serviettes

    And an evening buffet

    Opinions please :D xx

Ok so after more searching on the net, i have found yet another package that sound's good however i'm spiralling away from the idea of having a hotel and going back to the original idea of having our village hall as it's alot cheaper and we are on a tight-ish budget!

Only thing is i'm worried about how i go about catering for everybody as i don't want to be stressing on the morning of the wedding about having enough Etc.

    Help!

I personally could not do it for that very reason too. If you do go down the self catering route I think you need to have a very reliable 'team' of friends / family behind you who really will help you on the day as it is not just the preparation but the clear up too. How about the compromise of caterers in the village hall?
