I need some advice please peeps.

I need to lose weight, but i don't know how. I spend my evenings on my own so i do tend to get very lonely whichmakes me want junk food.

Fill your spare time at home by putting on a good DVD and doing a 45-60 minute work out in front of the telly hun rather than eating the junk food. Drinks lotsa water too. Alternatively, go out for a run so you're not actually inside. I found when I lost a fair amount of weight that my best motivator was watching supersize vs superskinny and all these other programmes focussing on weight and healthy/unhealthy diets whilst I was doing a mixture of weights and cardio xx

You need to sustitute junk food for healthy stuff, like fruit and veg or snackajacks instead of crisps and try to avoid fizzy drinks. I know its hard cos my daughter has put weight on and we cant do her BM dress up. She's not been able to exercise because she's been waiting for a knee op. She had the op on monday and it was a success so hopefully she can start doing some gentle exercise soon which will help a great deal. I have tried to buy more healthy food so if the junks not there she cant snack on it. You need to start doing a lit regular exercise routine even if its just 20 mins a day it will help, good luck I know its hard but it can be done you just need to make a start x

The thing I always tend to do it just keep busy, do the housework, take the dog for a walk, write some emails and letters, make some cards, sort out my wardrobe etc etc. Keeps you fit, active and stops your mind from wandering.
Another good idea is to get a empty jar, put say a £1 or something into it every day you don't eat junk food and when the jar gets full count it all up and buy yourself something beautiful like a new pair of shoes or whatever. That way you have something to aim for and you get something out of your hard work.

I agree with all advice above, its just about making changes to your lifestyle. Just need to get out of that rut and before long the weight will be coming off you.
    Good luck

I think you need to be focused and sure of what you want to achieve otherwise you're not going to be able to do it unless your heart is fully into it. Only speaking from personal experience, as it was easy for me to say i want to lose weight but its only recently my head is focused and i've managed to lose half a stone.

    Good luck hun.

I used Slimming World plan, if you dont want to go to the meetings just google the plan and follow that. I thought it was really good and got to eat as much as i wanted :) xx

It's easy for everyone to say eat healthy, drink water etc but not so easy to do. Sadly if you are eating junk food then you are only going to gain weight and find it harder to lose it. I've never been overweight but since meeting my h2b I had piled on 1 1/2 stone because I was eating the same as him and he eats utter rubbish. I found that my digestive system was sluggish and I was tired all the time and had no energy. The more I tried to eat the right thing the more I was tempted to eat the doughnuts colleagues would bring in and not bother cooking a proper meal just get a pizza or chinese. When he proposed I was over the moon but knew that I was uncomfortable with my weight so decided to get a colonic. 4 Colonics later, the weight is off, I am eating healthier food, drinking plenty of water, I have heaps more energy and my skin and hair is much healthier. I've even been able to get rid of a few stubborn patches of psoriasis.
I know it doesn't work for everyone and I think my body went into shock because I've always been a healthy eater and the stodge overload cause a blockage. It might be worth giving it a try, the lady who did mine told me that sometimes our cravings for bad food come from a build up of bad bacteria in our gut and I actually believe that now because yesterday a colleague brought in a load of treats for a mini jubilee party and I had one cocktail sausage and a couple of pickled onions and ignored the rest. I'd rather have my apple thank you very much.
Although I had the colonic, I've still had to cut down portions, eat the right food and exercise frequently. I'm afraid there is no quick fix to weight loss and usually the things that make you lose weight super fast such as slim fast make you pile it back on quick once you go back to your regular eating habits.

    I can't wait until 29/06/2013
The day I marry the man of my dreams!

If you have a Nintendo Wii have you tried Wii Fit? I find that a great way to get exercise in without having to go to the gym and it's lots of fun playing the little games, plus it lets you set targets for yourself & shows you how well you're doing against them x

I was the same! used to spend my days off and evenings bored so would reach for food just out of bordom.
I asked my friend about the gym she went to and how much it was then started going with her. I had loads of doubts about going that people would stare at me silly things like that but omg i LOVED it i now go nearly every day, some times with friends but mainly on my own and i sometimes go to zumba once a week which is such a laugh too.
When i do feel like ive got the munchies i try and eat things like fruit and yoghurts.
    All the best :) x x x
