My MIL passed away in May and I miss her so much!!!! She was only 43 and it was such a shock when she died.
Now I'm not gonna say she was perfect because GOD did she bug the ass of me when she was alive, but in hindsight she was pretty amazing!!!!
She was willing to not only give us our mortgage deposit, help us out loads on our wedding but she was so desperate for grandchildren she was going to give her job up so we could have kids and both work still!

It really hurts to lose someone who your so close to and this may sound awful I felt closer to her than my own mum sometimes.

Sorry for the depressive post but it just riles me that so many of you are ranting about how much of a pain your MIL is (and I would of joined you t6 moths ago) but trust me shes amazing!!!!!!!!

She sounds like an amazing lady. Just remember that she is looking down on you both.

I'm very lucky my MIL is an amazing lady and I love her just like my own mum.

Although I dont always agree with my MIL, it's only because I was brought up differently to my husband who is quite close to his mum in some ways but will go sometimes a month or so without talking to his mum. They are a close family, but in a very different way to my parents but Im quite fortunate that she doesnt meddle or interfere and lets us do our own thing.

I get on really well with my in laws, not really had an issue with them (apart from when mil goes for tea with both my sil's...it would be nice to be included in the girly nights, but I'm never asked!) apart from that we all get on great I think. Now my ex's mum (wicked witch of the west)!! Lol don't get me started on her....she still riles me now and it's been 2yrs since me and the ex split!
